Centrally located hotel within walking distance to amenities and entertainment. On check in, Kate was extremely helpful with local knowledge and hidden gems which were a must-see. I have a chronic health condition which requires walking aids, although my request about having a ground floor centrally located room, wasn't actioned. Kate was able to resolve this without any fan fair. In a world of automation and AI, it was lovely to have a personal touch. Kate is friendly, personable and a downright delight. I would stay at this particular branch again, mainly due to the staff and customer service. Thank you, Kate and Have a Happy New Year

I have to give one star because when I stayed there, I had a problem with the hot water. I went downstairs to speak to somebody a young person told me that they will come and check one hour later I didn’t hear anything so I went downstairs. They said it’ll be five minutes went back Upstairs one hour went by again so that’s like two hours later I would like to go downstairs with my things and said please can I have a new room because there’s no hot water in this room they finally gave me a new room so based on my experience, I don’t think I’ll go back there they basically lied and I don’t really appreciate that

The positive was that it is a prime location, right by the high street and markets. However the beds were not comfortable, and I had a disturbed sleep due to intermittent humming noise coming from the mechanical system within the hotel. Certainly not the best night sleep I've ever had. Also there was an issue with checking in on their touch screen, which would have been easily resolved if there were staff working there

We stayed here at the end of August, check in is all done via a bot, it didn't work! I was given a card several times after walking between the bot n the room door, which I was unable to open. I was unable to find anyone to assist us. Eventually we located a cleaner who called the manager. She came and tried multiple fixes but eventually we moved rooms. The manager was really good but restrained by poor company systems. She provided us with a complimentary drink! In the evening we tried some bites, the halloumi fries were a rip off (none eaten in the photo!) and the bar staff were elusive and unfriendly. Basically an awful Hotel run by a pleasant young manager (in the picture). Breakfast was budget quality as you'd expect. Service rating lifted by the manager and dropped by the other staff.

I know others have not liked this especially , but everything was fine for our visit, we had 3 rooms and everyone was fine with their rooms and visit , the view from our window was not great , we seem to get a view of air-conditioning units everywhere we go , so are used to it. The location is great and there is a carpark very close by , and it is very handy for the town centre . The staff at the bar were pleasant and welcoming , and getting food late at night was a bonus .

Newer hotel so it still felt fresh, superooms and not really worth the extra money as you don't get much extra, coffee pods had no description on them, blackout curtains were fine but I could hear the bathroom fan as well as other room fans all night. Stayed in the "budget" room the night beforehand, and this was worse as the bed was rather uncomfortable and the fan even noisier.

The experience was great, room super comfy, good members of staff as well. The only issue Is they didn't have facilities to heat up my food, this was quite frustration. The last hotel I lodged about 3 months back had a microwave just at the lobby where lodgers could heat their food, the management could look into this

First time staying here as my work has a new office in St Albans. Great location, for town and distance from office. The room was very comfortable but the bathroom was a little small. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and friendly service. Please could we have marmalade. Thanks for a lovely stay

Very convenient place to stay at if you are in St. Albans. Nicely decorated and functional rooms. Clean and tidy. The breakfast is ok and will get you started for the day. It has got the basics. Paying for wifi seems so old though.

Good to see some new construction in the City Centre, particularly given the demise of many High Street shops. And hopefully another new hotel will bring in more business as we reopen from lockdown. At street level there will be a large new bar, ‘Alban’s Well’; currently being fitted-out and due to open in Spring 2021. Hopefully this will help to brighten up the area and create more of a continental feel.
