   Do not go here! I was quoted £150 over the phone for my watch to be fixed and when I turned up to pick it up the lady had changed it to £250. She patronisingly told me that she had told me it was £250 on the phone, she had not. She decided to meet me at £200 as I had “misheard her”. Definitely not a one off experience as the exact same thing happen to my friend a day prior and they didn’t knock off any money from the extra £100 they charged her.

   An uneasy experience here today. I'd taken my late Grandmother's engagement ring in to be resized. Dealt with by a pleasant enough lady until she returned the original ring box to me saying 'If that's sentimental, better take it with you as we'll just lose it' - a completely unacceptable comment which made me extremely concerned about leaving my extremely sentimental jewellery with them. I should have taken the rings and left there and then but went about my afternoon only to be left with an uneasy feeling and an urgent need to get the rings back and go elsewhere. I did just that and feel much more comfortable with the other shop. A shocking comment on reflection; how do you expect the trust of customers when you seem to regard their belongings with such disdain? Please avoid.

   My wife had been to the shop to buy a ring a few weeks ago and was very happy with the service she received and the quality of the ring. However they came into their own when my brother died unexpectedly last week. She rang them looking for a locket so that my mother could have a lock of his hair with a photo in it. The staff there were brilliant, they searched for something suitable, contacted her and sent pictures of it to her ( an antique silver locket on a chain). She bought it "unseen" and they dispatched it quickly. It was a really good choice, we took it to my Mum today and she loved it. The staff have been brilliant, couldn't do enough to help us, were really interested in finding one and made a brilliant selection. Couldn't praise them enough. Thank you

   David Edwards Jewellers valued my jewellery at half the sum I eventually sold it for. They criticised a diamond in a ring as being cracked, which was untrue. Please be wary.

   Upon entering the store I was met by a rather short, elderly, saleswoman and I felt that she had weighed, measured and found me wanting from the moment I walked in; which is a shame for the proprietor given the budget I was willing to part with. My questions were met with single word answers and it was clear that no attempts for my custom were to be made.
