A great place to moor up and walk into Coventry. The Tin music venue is well used and you could hear the bands using the rehearsal rooms most nights, so might be a bit noisy if you like it quiet. Overall a safe well lit and maintained mooring. The CRT facilities are all out of order and there wasn’t any rubbish facilities apart from the public litter bins.

Its beautiful here. 2 lovely places to eat. Set a 10 min easy walk from the city centre at most. Canal side dining and grocery shopping. There is also a live music venue that is open when events are on.

Great place for a visit to Coventry on a canal boat, space for about 12 boats, 7 days moorings with full facilities point at the entrance to the basin. 5 minutes walk into city centre 2 cafes within the basin, The Portuguese cafe is highly recommended... Not too much late night city noise although there is an arts centre which sometimes hosts a live music night. Not very often and not rowdy the night I was there

Stayed overnight in my narrowboat. Traffic noise doesn't stop day or night and some areas show the normal city cigarette and vape litter. Overall a good attempt to create a pleasant place in a city centre.

Really nice place to visit. Little bits of history and information placed around the area. We had a lovely breakfast in the far cafe right on the water. It was lovely to stand watching a couple of canal boats come and go. Take a walk over the bridge and take a look at the back end of the warehouses.

Close to town centre with all its history. Really like Coventry. Motor museum is a must. Basin is a nice place to tie up for a few days. We'll be back.

Visited the canal cafe 'Playwrights' only which was very nice. Sat outside in the sunshine. The area looked very inviting.

My visit to Coventry was fun, however I had little time to do all I planned on doing as it was just a day trip. I visited the Machine memoir space and it was worth my time. I also visited Coventry cathedral, the and cathedral ruins. It was magnificent. Lastly I had a cup of chocolate at the L’amour cafe. There’s so much to do here and I will plan another visit.

Small cafe situated on the coventry canal basin. We have visited twice now and both times the food and service has been excellent. Lovely atmosphere. Outside seating and tables inside. Do a wide range of snacks and an amazing Sunday lunch very reasonable prices. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
