Lovely quiet little park tucked away behind trees but right next to the main road. Nice place to take a walk while waiting for chemotherapy at valindra. Not to far to go if you get into difficulties & need oxygen in a rush. Lots of benches to sit on. I didn't see a restroom but one is available in the library at the main entrance near the war memorial. Nice little play area for kids. Stay on the paths provided. Seems short on dog waste bins judging by the dog pooh land mines you will need to avoid if you walk on the grass

Fine park for a walk around and has a children’s playground that’s been refreshed quite recently. The playground has an ok range of things like a climbing frame and slide, swings and a merry go round. Not the biggest of playgrounds in Cardiff, but it’s not the smallest. It’s not my favourite of the parks in Cardiff (Roath, Bute and Cefn Onn parks) so I wouldn’t make a special trip here, but it’s not terrible either. The City Line runs on one side of the park (it’s fenced off) and Rhiwbina halt’s in one corner of the park. On another side there’s a brook, it runs along a concrete culvert and is also fenced-off as the water can be fast running. A lot of the park is taken up by sports pitches, but is fine as a green space to walk around. There’s also a car park by the pavilion (it’s off Northern Avenue) but the spaces aren’t marked, which is fine when it’s quiet, but possibly a bit of a free for all when it’s busy. Rhiwbina village is a short walk from the park, with cafes there. Or Whitchurch village is a further walk across Northern Avenue and down St Margaret’s Road and has a good selection of cafes.

Easy to miss the turning, but plenty of parking and lots of pitches. Although can be a bit bumpy and some pitches were on a bit of a slant! Great venue for seeing lots of matches at one time though. And a good area to walk your dog.

Great walk around. Plenty of space for parking however if there is an event or something on the fields car park can be very busy. There is no parking space lines so parking can be a free for all. Play park is looking very sorry for itself despite it being closed at the mo. The art work on the pavilion is amazing. I like it there.
