I would advise against getting your children’s ears pierced here unless it’s by Karen. She was professional, friendly, and empathetic when the other staff member pierced my daughter’s other ear incorrectly. I do understand things can go wrong and she didn’t do it on purpose, however, that staff member didn’t acknowledge us, apologise, or attempt to resolve the issue, and instead chose to hide behind the counter until we left. Karen was the only person who showed an understanding of customer service especially when things go wrong on 28th Sep. I’m still in disbelief that the manager even suggested one of the options was to just leave the piercing as it was, claiming it would “be fine.” If you do choose to get your children’s ears pierced here, please don’t rely on the staff to check the piercings properly afterwards. The only reason they realised it was done incorrectly was because I pointed it out. I had originally wanted to go to professional piercers, but most have a minimum age of 8, so unfortunately I was left with Claire’s.
I went into Claire’s yesterday to buy some earrings. One of the workers in Claire’s highcross who was tall with dark hair was extremely rude to me. I asked her about the situation with the store in a polite manner - she pretty much shouted in my face. In retrospect I probably shouldn’t have asked and I didn’t not think in the moment. 5 minutes later I see her shouting about me to the other co workers at the tills for asking the question- I went over to apologise to her for asking a perhaps sensitive question but she shrugged at me. When I went to pay I yet again apologised to the other worker at the tills for mentioning the sensitive topic of the store and explained I hadn’t seen the sign was very polite to her and had tried to apologise - the other lady on the till was extremely kind and polite and explained the other worker had had a bad day and many customers had shouted at her . I explained I was very polite to her and tried to apologise. Ultimately - I did not expect to be spoken too in such a rude way and then my apology being dismissed. I don’t think I should have been shouted at because of what other customers had done previously because I hadn’t done anything wrong. I will hold my hands up and say I shouldn’t have asked a question regarding rumours about the store however I did not deserve to be spoken too the way I was. Although I love Claire’s for all my jewellery’s I do not think I will be shopping in this particular store again due to the way I was spoken too. However thank you to the lady at the till for being so lovely.
Charismatic customer service! Went into Claire's looking for a cute ring to complement some statement pieces. Lydia was so helpful: asking all the right questions to establish what would work for me, finding some excellent options in a range of sizes, and so patient when I was trying them on. Excellent experience.
I’m not one to leave reviews, but my 11 year old girl went in today to get her ears pierced, frightened with a million questions and these girls did a grand job of chatting away to her and making her feel at ease!!! You have lovely staff, which is so hard to find!!! Friendly, personal, warm!! I honestly can’t recommend them enough! Thank you for being patient and kind and your friendly selfs!!! Amazing customer service!!!
Actually liked coming in here to get the odd cute little thing (at a silly expensive price but nevermind..)...until I walked in today to see a woman getting her baby's ears pierced. Not something I agree with at all. How someone can sit there a mutilate a child for fashion in todays world I do not know. I walked out. I won't be buying in Claires again whilst they support this.

My daughter loved it but as a wheelchair user I was not so keen. Almost took out an entire rack of earrings as spacing was tight. Couldn't get to the necklaces that I wanted to look at. Felt rather trapped when two families with pushchairs came in. Would be much better if they revised their layout and didn't have so many middle of the aisle displays. Otherwise a great shop for unicorns and rainbows.
