I highly recommend this studio! I had a custom cover up tattoo. I wanted a watercolor style, and Rhys Mostyn was patient and listened to all my ideas. He came up with a gorgeous design, tweaking elements until it was perfect. He made seaweed look breathtaking. I hadn't had a tattoo in years, and struggled with the pain. Rhys was kind and accommodating, I'm really grateful to him for making the experience a pleasant one. It is a relief to find a safe, clean and professional studio. Everything was immaculate. Rhys even went through aftercare, spending time after the session. I followed his advice, and healing has been a dream. I'm looking forward to returning for my next one. Photo taken on the day.

I'm sure the service would have been great, had I been able to get a timely response about an appointment. *TL;DR version:* This might be because the staff are really busy at Christmas, and I do appreciate there was one period of illness in there too, but, essentially, I felt very let down because I couldn't get a timely reply via email, which, I was informed, was the only way to book. It took Bridgend Tattoo Studio 3 working days to reply to my initial inquiries, and then many subsequent replies took a week. That made me feel unvalued as a customer. I then tried to book in person as I was in town anyway, and thought I could cut out the middle man, and was informed I would have to book via email, again making me feel like my business wasn't valued. I therefore went to a different tattoo studio, was fortunate enough to get a walk-in appointment, and had the tattoo done to the same standard of quality, but for half the price. From what I saw, the studio looked very nice and comfortable, but it wasn't the experience I wanted. Now for the longer version. I emailed Bridgend Tattoo Studio on Saturday 11th November about a potential tattoo, and knew I might have to wait a few days because they weren't open again until the Tuesday (14th), but I didn't hear back until the 17th. On that day, I was asked about sizing, so I emailed back the same day, and didn't hear from them until the 25th, when I was given a price and told to email back about how to secure a booking. Again, I emailed back the same day saying I definitely wanted to, but didn't hear back until late in the night of 4th December. Now, to be fair to them, in that email I was informed they'd had a run of illnesses so people were off work, but given the last 2 times I'd emailed I'd had to wait for a week anyway, I didn't really notice the other 2 days. The latest email said I could potentially book in the next 2 weeks, and I emailed back in the early hours of the 6th of December, but didn't hear back until the 12th, giving me 2 dates. I confirmed on the 12th what dates I could do, and I finally heard from Rhys this morning (14th) with an offer of appointment. At that point, it became clear we'd miscommunicated about availability so I had to email back, apologise, and say the times didn't work for me. I was disappointed because I was really hoping to get the tattoo done, so decided as I was in town anyway, I would go to the studio and just see if we could talk about this and book something. I'd been okay with slow replies initially, because I was nervous about getting a tattoo, but it had been a month and I was likely going to have to wait at least one more for it to be done. Unfortunately, Rhys essentially closed the door in my face, telling me the only way to book was via email. As I'm sure you can imagine, it didn't fill me with confidence. I therefore decided to see what else was available, and got my tattoo done then and there. The other studio was amazing, and did my tattoo for half the quoted price, but just as professionally, safely, and carefully as these guys would have.
