We stayed in Buttercup lodge for our anniversary with our dog and it was a fantastic weekend. The farm is so peaceful with beautiful views. It was so nice sitting in the hot tub watching the chickens and sheep run around in the field. The lodge itself was immaculate and clearly no expense was spared when building and furnishing them. A lovely family run business and we will definitely stay again.

My mum and I had a really lovely stay here in summer β22. We paid Β£425 for a 4 night stay. The location is beautiful. We stayed in Honeysuckle Lodge and had a lovely view of the fields and sheep. The lodges are angled so that you arenβt overlooking each other and it feels very private and peaceful. It was very quiet in the evenings you could only hear the sheep. It is a 2 bedroom lodge but one of the bedrooms was locked for some reason so mum and I had to share a room which was made up as a twin but as you can see is squashed up against each other. It had an en-suite shower room that although snug was clean and everything worked fine. The property was very tidy and clean apart from a few cobweb or scuff mark. The property has a wood burner, bbq, hot tub and access to a shared pool. It also has wi-if which as I recall worked fine. Note that one of the owners comes by daily to check the hot tubs. We really liked our stay here, we got very lucky with the weather and it was very peaceful. We briefly spoke to the owners a couple of times and they were very friendly. My only complaint really is the request for guests to clean the whole property, take the bins out, strip the bedding and towels and put on a wash before checking out. I am a housekeeper by profession so when staying in hotels I always strip the bed upon check out and clean up after myself as I know how much hard work housekeeping is and hotel staff have such a short time to get a room turned over. Many people will do this anyway as a courtesy but I find it very cheeky for self catering properties to insist this upon paying guests. I can imagine for families with young children who stay here this must be quite a hassle when trying to get everything packed and ready for the 10am check out. This isnβt stated upon booking (or it wasnβt 2 years ago) and we didnβt find out until we read the guest information booklet on arrival. I think if you are going to expect guests to clean your property for you then you should lower your prices to reflect this. Especially for a self catering property. You canβt charge hotel prices when people are not giving a hotel service. This is the only thing that has prevented me from giving a 5 star review.

This place is amazing. If you are looking for a luxury relaxing break, surrounded by beautiful countryside and friendly owners this is it. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, smells good and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Every detail of this place has been thought through and everything you need is there, even a dishwasher!

We wanted a chilled, private place in a quiet location but with abit of luxury. Tor farm lodges ticked all the boxes. So peaceful and quiet. We had our own private hot tub that was not over looked by anyone. Everything is high quality. You can stay there for ever and just buy food. There are amazing comfy beds with nice pillows/ bedding, a dishwasher, washer/dryer, outside sitting, sunbeds and barbie. Every view from every window is countryside.

Absolutely gorgeous little lodge in the middle of nowhere.Host was very welcoming on arrival. Clean amd well equipped. Only thing I will say is be careful parking next to any of their fences. I reversed out with the help of my friend and she said I was clear but turns out there was a 3 inch nail that she didn't see which redesigned my front bumper. But hey ho, that was honestly my only grumble.

Just come home from a weekend in Somerset Lodge. I couldn't have asked for a better set up. Clean, modern touches. Quiet and secluded. Hot tub and a comfortable nights sleep. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you Tor Farm

The most amazing lodge I have ever been to. So welcoming and clean. The place was simply perfect . Our first get away in ages since covid started. We will be booking again and told our friends to . A place to get away from busy lives to simply take in fresh air in the peace and quiet.
