Not bad food at Pizza Express last night but there were two things we asked for on the menu they didn’t have and it was so dingy and noisy. Staff were very nice and efficient but the overall vibe of the place cannot really be made up for. I saw two tables moving the overhead lights and another using a torch to read the menu it was so dark!
Great place. I think it was forst time when my daughter wanted started somewhere and main meal and then ate it all ! Kids meal is super option. Our pizza, was amazing as well. Thank you
We arrived fairly late (about 9pm) on a Friday evening and the place was only about 20% full. Nice waitress who helped with the rubbish app experience trying to use the discount offer! With the offer it was a fairly decent price for a filling meal for the two of us. We parked for free round the corner in a side street which was OK because of the time of day.
Great friendly staff, very helpful when had some Tesco Club card vouchers to use. Also seated us in a quieter area of the restaurant as was quite busy and noisey downstairs with children running about. Good location with convenient parking(paid) just across the street, not too busy either.
I had a birthday meal with my grandma. We had a mushroom pizza and a starter which was arancini which was rice balls with mushrooms inside. Then I had one of my favourite desserts which is Honeycomb Cheesecake but they didn't have any pouring cream which is silly these days. Every restaurant that I know has cream so I think Pizza Express need to up their game a bit.
VERY disappointed- I booked a table in advance for 6.30pm as we wanted to be able to have a quick pre-show meal on our way into Notts. Arrived early at 6.20pm and was told that there would be a 50 minute wait on any food we ordered. We were therefore unable to dine as it would have made us late. Very bad policy that Deliveroo orders were taking priority over restaurant customers with pre booked tables. As I said at the beginning - very disappointed
Came here for the first time and won’t be coming back I’m afraid. Arrived with my wife & 2 children and ordered a starter and mains for us all, they didn’t bring any food over for nearly 90 minutes by this point my son had fell asleep on the table! We finally got a starter after 90 minutes then had to speak to their manager to complain about the food being delayed and then mains turned up after nearly two hours. Scary thing was the place was half empty so I do t understand why it took so long.
Polite efficient staff. It was the nicest Margereta that I have had in a long time. If you are in Bridgford this would wouldn't be a good place to take your friends and family.
Top tip... if you download the pizza express app before you arrive you can get a free portion of adult dough balls, 1/3rd off some pizzas and some other pizza related goodies, I saved £11 using the app on this trip alone. I booked online, and I'm glad I did because it was busy for 6pm, we ordered two childrens meals and two adults pizzas. The starters and mains came quickly but the desserts seemed to take ages, we didn't leave until 8.15 and we are not slow eaters. The staff were lovely and friendly and our server had the best nails. So, for the food.. We had dough balls (of course) and they were delicious, I can't remember how many is in a portion because we ate them so fast. The new kids ice cream sandwich was a real hit with my 8 year old, she could have probably eaten two of them it was so tasty. I had the prawn low cal pizza, I can't remember it's name but it's the one with the salad in the middle. It was nice and tasty and I was full before I'd finished the pizza but that was probably due to the free dough balls I ate before the main came (there's no calories in free food, right?).
Really enjoyed the food! There was a child on their phone with very loud music playing and the staff never said anything after getting complaints. Quite expensive now too!
