   Such a friendly welcome at the door, seated in a booth we'd politely requested at booking. We both tried diferent sets this visit, the Giggling Set and Royal Set, both were served hot and extremely tasty. This was my husbands joint birthday and retirement, and surprisingly, the staff brought over a plate with mixed fruit, a pot of ice cream and Happy Retirement written on it. What a lovely gesture. Can not wait to return at Christmas.

   Brilliant restaurant combining both Chinese and Thai cuisine together. Food is aesthetically appealing, and taste does not disappoint (spice gives a strong kick!). Staff are unbelievably quick to serve - took less than 10 mins to dish out all 8 dishes for just 6 people. Moreover, the decoration and colours around the restaurant are vibrant and outstanding.

   Lovely food. Unfortunately the portion of pad Thai seemed a lot smaller than the last time I had it. The portions of rice seem extremely small for the money. But the curries were amazing as usual. Unfortunately the restaurant were out of smoothies too which was what I initially ordered. The new crispy chickpea starter was very very good.

   Overall the food and wine was lovely. Fall off the bone meat. Nice big portions. Wings and ribs were flavourful tender not overly spicy. Service was fast and the staff were good. The food could have been slightly quicker but was brilliant overall. Would definitely recommend. 5th here and would comeback.

   Excellent restaurant serving fabulous food in gorgeous surroundings. My son and daughter-in-law have visited here several times before and raved about their experiences, and I was equally impressed. There were plenty of vegetarian options, and a nice selection of cocktails. The restaurant was incredibly busy but service was relatively quick - staff were attentive but not intrusive. I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back.

   A last minute birthday treat, randomly chosen because they were still serving food at 9pm. The salmon starter was so good I could have eaten it 3 times over and the massaman curry was divine. The service was excellent & 10% would have been happily & freely given. If poor service the tip (if any) should reflect the service and not be by force!

   Beautiful place inside. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Good menu choice. Starters beautiful. Thai green curry and Sticky chicken nice but the melting beef was very fatty. £15 wasted there, could not eat much of it. Would try the Chicken pad Thai next time. Otherwise great experience.

   What is nicer than sitting on the terrace of a restaurant on a mild spring day, sipping a cocktail and waiting for your Thai tapas? The Giggling Squid is a fairly new establishment on the site of the former Monkey Tree in West Bridgford. The place offers Thai food, tapas-style, way more interesting kids menu than about 95% of other places and excellent service. If all your kids eat is chips/french fries in restaurants, go for the chicken fried rice in the kids menu. Not guaranteed they will like it but that's your best choice. The food was lovely, service was quick and polite at a time when the place was just about to get really busy so overall I was really happy with everything.

   We had a team meal out here and it was a charming and tasty experience all round. The starter I had of pork belly was out of this world and my friends that had the calamari rated it 12/10! The decor is very fresh and uniquely floral, adding to the fragrance of the whole meal.
