Visited on a very busy Christmas Market Saturday but with a booked ahead table we had no problems. Service was good even though busy with plenty of food choices. I had belly pork, which was excellent with very little fat, and nicely presented with a good selection of veg. Worth a visit but book ahead if the village has an event planned.

Headed in for a Sunday roast and wasn't disappointed. The ultimate roast was all the meats and they were cooked very well (though my bit of pork belly didn't have crispy skin). Star of the show was the Yorkshire Pudding, some at the table saying out was the best Yorkshire they'd ever had! Cauliflower Cheese and mash potato have to be paid for as extra side dishes, and stuffing wasn't an option, so that was a little disappointing but there was plenty of food and it was all tasty good, would happily return for another Sunday Roast! Was busy so would advise booking in advance.

Great local pub. Beer selection is okay, nothing to write home about but the food is absolutely phenomenal and you might not expect it looking from the outside. From traditional pub grub to small tapas style plates - some of the best food in a small town pub you'll get.

I went to the White Horse for a birthday party a couple of weeks ago, in a party of 16. Waiter service was attentive, and the kitchen did an amazing job of turning out the food in good time (there was another large party of 40+ in the other room at the same time). The kitchen also worked nicely to bring out a child's meal in advance of the adult meals. Some of my friends had the BBQ ribs which were HUGE (see pictures before and after). I had the Caesar salad with bacon which was very good and of a nice proportion (see picture). I also had the baked Camembert cheese board which was great - and also huge (forgot to take a picture). I recommend sharing that board with someone else unless you are a serious cheese person and hungry enough to eat an entire round of Camembert by yourself.

Thought we would give it a try. "New farm shop opens at Nottinghamshire pub that's hoping to beef up custom." Can sit in or take out. We did the latter. two x decaf tea's and two cakes £11. Very reasonable. We wouldn't usually go in a pub during the day however they have created a welcoming reason to go in. Artisan farm shops are lovely, so can be the prices! However we did pickup some locally made Gin while we were there! We would certainly feel comfortable sitting in for tea and cake. Dogs welcome, nice and warm on a cold day. Really welcoming staff and friendly. I'm sure its early days in them setting up. Our only recommendation would be to cover over all, not just one lot, of the cakes on the front counter. The farm shop is open 10am to 3pm, Wednesday to Saturday. The pub is open for longer. It was really nice. We'd go again and feel comfortable sitting in with our tea and cake.

Lovely family Sunday lunch at the White Horse. There were 18 of us and the communication was fantastic with regards to pre ordering. The service was excellent and the food fantastic and great value for money. I would definitely recommend the White Horse

Myself and my husband went for a breakfast whilst the Market Fayre was on yesterday (Sat 5Th Nov 2022). Service was exceptional, and the breakfast was lovely with high quality food served cooked to perfection! Was very impressed. I have eaten at this pub for evening meals and again very lovely food. Would highly recommend this pub for food!

What another lovely meal and birthday celebration for my 2 year old Jack russell. Not many pubs would help you celebrate a puos birthday!

We just had an amazing Sunday roast at the White Horse in Ruddington - top quality meat, veggies, perfect Yorkshire Puddings and generous servings. My nephew had the fish n chips and that was wonderful too. Great pub in a great location with a wonderful atmosphere, just wish I could go more often. 10/10 highly recommend.

We had a spontaneous visit after the heritage railway and country park, its a nice place and had a kids menu which is always useful for the little people. Food was very nice and we didn't need to wait too long, outside area was packed which means we didn't have to worry about kids disrupting other peoples meals as we stayed inside! Price was generally not too bad, although kids meal could have been a tad cheaper, especially for very small people...!
