Had a great meal here last Friday. We hadn't visited for a while and we were amazed by how busy it was. The atmosphere was lovely and everyone seemed really friendly. The food was delicious.
Don't usually review pubs i go too but felt had to be done tonight as some of the nicest, most friendly bar staff ive ever had the pleasure of meeting were verbally abused by a member of the public when her 2 kids running wild around the pub were asked politely to stop running as were putting themselves in danger of being hurt. Thankyou to the bar staff at the plough for brilliant service and even while being abused by a middle aged female staying calm and being polite while asking her to leave.
We came here on a Friday afternoon, and ordered two drinks and a bowl of Mac and cheese. First of all, it took thirty minutes for the drinks (only!) to reach our table. When the food came, it was a tiny portion and cost £7.29. I brought this up to the waitress as the portion was minuscule for the price, and the waitress then told me that it was right before listening to what I was saying. After she said she was going to go and check inside, she came back about 15 minutes later with the food we actually ordered in the first place. She didn’t apologise for the inconvenience and this is not the first time I have had similar issues with this server; on a previous visit I was told she would check on an issue for me and come back, yet they never did and I had to go to the bar myself, 20 minutes after. Wouldn’t recommend this food as it was more so cheesy pasta than mac and cheese. Not worth the price at all
Lovely meal tonight at the Plough. Sizzling dishes are recommended. It was quite busy so would be a good idea to book. Service was fast and courteous. Update: Another delicious meal at the Plough. Giant Gyros and BBQ steak, both on sizzling platters. Caramel waffle to share for dessert.
It's a lovely and nicely decorated pub/sizzling restaurant. Staff is welcoming and friendly Food is freshly prepared and delicious. I love that they put up the chef on duty name at the bar, so many thanks to Chef Sky, we enjoyed our meals. There is plenty of nice seating inside and outdoor dining space for good weather. There's a spacious carpark at the back for customers. For sure we would visit again!
Had the surf an turf I'm sorry what the steak just melted in your mouth amazing chef definitely a keeper if I could give more stars I would don't walk run to this fantastic restaurant
Called in after shopping for lunch. Selected 2 meals from main courses. There was a short wait for the meals to be served but this was no problem, it was very apparent that the meals were freshly prepared and piping hot. Both meals were well presented and delicious. The meals were real value for money in the quality and presentation. The icing on the cake - a 25% off voucher received by e-mail. Will certainly visit again.
Refurb since last time I came. Looks good. Beer well kept, only two real ales, but the Hobgoblin was the best I've had in a long time. Some choices missing from the menu, but everyone enjoyed what they had. Food was hot and portions were decent sized. Doesn't break the bank either Decent cheap and cheerful place
First time ordering tonight via UberEats, was a bit apprehensive about ordering. So glad I did!! I had the new festive burger, everything about it was very very good!!! I will be ordering again without a shadow of a doubt if the quality and service stays the same. The only very small gripe would be the sweet potato fries wasn't cooked enough (Maybe my preference) Also would be nice to be able to leave a comment to the establishment/kitchen.
By far one of the best pubs we have been to.. The staff very smiley and welcoming as soon as you walk through the door.. Nothing was to much trouble for them. The food was lovely and came out in a very good time.. ps this wasn't all the food we couldnt wait to get stuck in. Thank you to Kylie and team for looking after us.. we will be back soon. Xx
