   Great carvery for Sunday lunch. They do child,OAP, standard or extra large portions,very reasonably priced. They do two sittings 1300 and 1400, booking advised but Sean and Grant will try to fit you in. Spacious, friendly pub with great atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

   Visited for the first time today as was in the local area. The outside is very welcoming and the staff on arrival were also pleasant. We wanted to have food but noticed no menus on the tables, the website, Facebook has a banner image that says Greene King plus so does the sign post outside, but don't think it's a Greene King anymore, none the less we were seated and a member of staff came over with some menus (website had some 241 offers but these weren't on the menu we were given). The staff were very nice and the atmosphere in the place was warm and relaxed, it had that feel like you were at a restaurant on holiday with the menus being brought out like that , which made me smile. We ordered the cottage pie and beef Lasagne, both came out in a timely manner and were piping hot, the food was lovely to very well cooked these were also quite large portion ls for the price, we would expected to pay more. Had an apple pie for dessert which was very soft and warm, better than dessert I've had from other places near by or in the City centre. We will be visiting again, very nice place, friendly and welcoming staff

   Went to play ladies darts, nice pub, and although food was lovely, the landlord was extremely rude to the The Fox team saying we hadn't started playing darts when we'd already played the first game. No recommended.

   Saturday 10th December. Extremely distraught experience. I attended this pub with my mum and my gran for the football. A blonde rude lady behind the bar accused my gran of being passive aggressive and the manager came over and screamed in her face for asking for a tint of lime. This was not the case. I guess the workers here have an issue with 3 black ladies. My mum then went to the bar to order a second round but this time only wanted 2 drinks. The bar man made 3 drinks and my mum politely stated she only ordered 2. He then shouted and said get out. What was their reason. We weren’t disrespectful or rude. They were. We didn’t react or shout or raved. This was nothing but a racist target. We’ve attended this pub so many times. Today was astonishing
