   Food was really nice ,all meals except for 1 came out at the same time. When we ordered dessert,things changed! The middle-aged waitress with the dark hair came with the desserts and banged them down on the table as though she was annoyed we were still there. It was 9.30 and they close at 10.30 so my hubby went to the bar to get me a latte only to be told I couldn't have one as they had switched the machine off !! One of the waitress sat with her coat on which made us feel they couldn't wait to close and go home even though we left at 10pm. We were a party of 17 celebrate a birthday and the restaurant was empty when we arrived at 6.30 . Won't be returning due to the staff ,not the food .

   We had a great family meal at Brinsley Lodge. The staff coped well with a party of 9 with only a slight delay with one of the meals. The food was well presented, tasty and large portions. I would definitely recommend and hope to return next time I visit the area

   I will have to day on reviews this place looks brilliant, I have a different opinion high class chippy at its best. I had the 8 oz steak with chips side salad and garden peas with peppercorn sauce but no tomatoes or cucumber on delivery they had got that mixed up with my friend that I was with so we had to swap steaks and plates. Not a good start Well the chips was slightly warm very chippy I thought but chippy would have been warmer. Steak was ok Peppercorn sauce had been sat a while as it had skin on Salad looked like it had been in bag for a while before on my plate. Peas was warmer than chips and steak put together.

   My wife and I decided to lunch here today. My wife had the beef lasagne with baked potato and I had baked potato with cheese and coleslaw. Great, pleasant service and the food was great

   Pre booked a table for 8, on arrival couldn't find the booking but quickly rearranged some tables to accommodate the party. Food was good but 2 guests had a little longer to wait, forgot to bring a steak knife for 1 meal, servers very pleasant and apologetic, it appeared to be a busy time and not many staff, on the whole they did their best and it was an enjoyable meal, would go again.

   Went with my partner,the food was excellent, brilliant prices and very fast service. The waiting staff couldn't do enough for us was friendly and polite and was very smartly dressed. The only little downfall was the assistant manager who was being rude and unfriendly barking orders to the rest of the staff but apart from then we had a lovely meal and a good time.

   It ok for a midweek lazy dinner, fairly average food, sometimes its great, sometimes its bad but usually its just alright, keep going back so can't be that bad. The specials are huge, make sure your hungry as I wasn't expecting so much food! Worth a stop if your local and hungry. Staff are always friendly and although always seems to be understaffed they are always trying their best to please everyone.

   Would definitely recommend this place. The food was excellent although staff had issues with doing cocktails was unaware of new cocktails added to menu. Apart from that very satisfied.
