   My mum brought in a one for all gift card that she checked before leaving to ensure the balance was correct. Staff scanned it using their card machine and told us it wasn’t working. Fine, one for all have a barcode you can type in instead! The staff did not do that. Instead they blamed my mum and made her feel really bad. I don’t think she’ll ever go back

   Went to the abbey centre river island this morning to buy a pair of tights, only that I needed them for tonight i would have put them down and walked out. The customer service was terrible. When I first walked in the girl on the tills was serving a family and proceeded to stand there and chat with them for five minutes after completing the transaction. I had queued to the left of the till as there was no actual guidance for where the queue should be, just three jewellery stands blocking the path in front of the till. When the family finally left I went to put my stuff up to pay and a woman barged in front of me from the right who was not there when I first went to queue. Instead of telling the woman that I had been queuing first the girl proceeded to serve the woman and stand and chat for another 10 minutes. The girl serving then rudely yelled across the shop floor to her associate to get him on the tills to serve as there was now a large crowd just gathering around the till with no actual queue formation. He jumped on the tills and I still was not served as so many people had gathered around the till. Only that the girl beside me told the people behind the till that had been waiting ages and let me go ahead of her they would have left me standing there all day. Really disapppointing experience I won’t be returning.

   The female manager with blonde hair was blunt and rude and look down I felt at myself making me feel uncomfortable the male manager seemed nice. I've always shopped in riverlsland love the shop but I will not be running back to soon if she is serving. To me and others around she wanted to point out IM THE MANAGER specifically to some staff bossy. Maybe job has went to her head?? But other than her staff r lovely and shop is beautiful. Shame but the manager. This was abby centre store.

   Tried to take an item back to the store with a receipt,as the labels were missing they say they couldn't help me.The woman I dealt with was quite rude about it!!!

   Won't b bck disgusted the way they treated my daughter she bought a top had it two days yes she pulled the label off but I had my receipt an they wudnt change or refund her an was told to sell it on line well I went to the big store an they told me yes ats not a problem an she didn't need to have the labels as long as she had the receipt so the girl in Abbey center one talks grap.

   I went in to return an item and got terrible customer service. I tried to return in on Christmas Eve but ,my fault, didnt realise they shut at 3. A member of staff arranging the stock for the sales the next day told me to come back on Boxing Day. I come back and get told that no store anywhere does returns on Boxing Day. I didnt get any apology , no customer service and i was left feeling very stupid and embarrassed for not knowing this rule about returning items after Christmas. Ruined the morning for me. Thanks River Island

   Got a bargain today! Went for a particular handbag and it was reduced. It is often a good thing to call in if you are passing as there are usually things on sale. The guy on the counter was friendly too
