FIRST VISIT AND WILL ALSO BE MY LAST. Went to get me a new pair of trainers which took very long to get sorted. The staff don't care about you and will just be standing around like they're not on the job. They won't even approach you and ask if you need any help like most shop staff in other places. At least 5 staff standing at the counter doing nothing and only one person would be able to get me my pair of trainers for my size. When asking another staff they would just point to that person claiming "Go to that person I can't do anything for you". Management should train the staff more or rehire as the customer service is utterly appalling. Got tons of other places where I can get my trainers and sure as hell decent customer service experience than here.

I had the worst customer experience at JD, Castle Place Belfast on 6/11/25 due to complete staff incompetence. I purchased two full tracksuits, two shirts, and a pair of shoes — spending over £500. After changing into the items I had just bought, the alarm went off as I was leaving the store. It turned out that a jacket from one of the tracksuits had not been scanned at the till, meaning the security tag was still attached. Both the receipt and CCTV footage clearly showed that every item was brought to the till, and the only missing item on the receipt was the jacket the staff member failed to scan. Despite this clear evidence, the management on shift handled the situation poorly, showing no accountability for their team’s mistake and treating me as if I were at fault. To make matters worse, this all happened on my 21st birthday, and I ended up spending over 30 minutes being treated like a thief for something that was entirely the store’s error. An absolute disgrace of customer service — I will never shop at this store again and would strongly advise others to think twice before doing so.

Went in the other day to buy myself a pair of trainers. Was with my young daughter. Went up to the wee slide/cage area and asked someone for shoes in size 9. Grand. They came down the wee slide and then sat there at the bottom of the slide like a child that had lost it's parents. Waited as staff walked past and then used my initiative and lifted the box and walked to the till. Waited at the till for about 10 minutes and when it was almost my turn to pay some wee fella came up and asked for the box from me and put it behind the counter. "It's store policy, mate" "Why?" I asked. "So people don't run off with them" - "Well, I was hardly going to run off with them" - "Hardly, mate". "Right, is it store policy to leave people waiting at the wee slide for ages?" Fella looked like he was going to square up to me. I'm 45, had a 9 year old with me. Can't be bothered with this nonsense. 10 seconds later, girl behind the the till lifts the box - "These yours? Size 9?" "That'll be £70" Erm - "It says £70 on the display but the ones in the box have a label that says £60. I'm a bit confused now. Which is it?" "That'll be £60" Won't be back, but I'd advise anyone who is to help the box make a bid for freedom from the slide and check if the price is accurate.

Staff just doesn’t wanna be there, I thought it was a one time occurrence when I was with my friend when he bought a pair of air Jordans and they basically weren’t happy that he asked a pair in his size so he just got without asking much of anything, but nah this ain’t some one time occurrence, the staff is genuinely rude as hell for some reason, like I understand it’s hard being a service worker, I’m one myself but that doesn’t mean that you can just be rude to everybody. This time my friend got a pair of on shoes and he asked if he can try another pair of them, they basically didn’t want to give him another pair for some reason, like dude we’re tryna get a pair of shoes it’s not like it’s some £5 ordeal here it’s £140 and he deserves every right to try both out before splashing that kind of money on a shoe in a business which doesn’t even want him to be there. Kinda sad cause I’ve bought shoes from JD at Belfast international airport and the staff there are wayy more patient with their customers.

We had an incredible experience in store, specifically with a staff member Shona, she was incredibly helpful and was easy going making our experience in store very simple and fun. She was very involved with us as the customer and even helped us pick an outfit using external items of clothing we had already purchased which was an amazing touch to a fantastic experience !!

Poor customer service. Employee demonstrated lack of customer care after insisting i told him the wrong shoe size. He tried to dominate the conversation and insisted he was correct and turn his back to me. The manager that day said I can not make a complaint about the specific employee but direct my complaint to the general company which is ridiculous. Why must the company and all other employees be represented in my complaint which involved 1 single employee. At the end nothing was done about it and I needed to accept the intimidation and leave. 23/12/22 @11:20pm

This specific part of the company is a pain to get a hold off, i have sources who work there that the staff who are meant to answer the phone let it just ring out if this true that is disgraceful and does not follow any of the consumer rights act. The source also says that they treat there staff poorly and often find it hard to get informed off when there shifts. Would not recommend to anyone let alone my worst enemy...
