   So a customer of mine takes her KM250 Kenwood Major into this apparently approved kenwood repair shop to have speed control issues rectified, only to be told that the part needed was no longer available, even on ebay. They then asked if the client would wish for them to dispose of the appliance for her which I strongly advised against in the reply email I sent back to her in her total desperation to find someone to fix her beloved and very sentimental appliance and assured her I could fix it no problem. They gave the lady's appliance back to her with a disassembled motor which within 10 minutes of being in my kenwood repair / service workshop, was repaired, reassembled and running perfectly through the speed range. The lady has asked me to service it for her while I have it. So called approved repair shop that knows nothing about kenwood food mixers but then I guess you either have it or you don't and clearly you don't. By the way, it was the 600v x 8a triac, 150n capacitor and 56 ohm resistor that had failed just in case you need reference for the future. I'll be reporting this directly to the directors at kenwood delonghi. Very unprofessional in my view, very unprofessional indeed and you had the nerve to charge £12 for the privilege of looking at it. Anyway, it's fixed, running perfectly and I've given her a 2 year warranty

   We had an issue with our Kenwood Washing machine the engineer diagnosed the issue brilliantly a few days later they came and fitted the part. Great customer service nice friendly engineer. overall very very pleased

   The job got done, after a couple of months. But the engineer broke the parts he was replacing and I'd have to agree with some other reviewers about their idea of customer service - don't expect good service. Expect morose/disinterested phone service and engineers who can't get out of your place quick enough - leaving all the rubbish behind.

   Despite all the bad reviews I actually had no issues at all with using Jim Grice Ltd. I contacted them to tell them my dishwasher needed looking at, I paid the call out fee and someone came to look at it that same week, they diagnosed what was wrong, ordered in the part needed and came and fitted it the following week and fixed it, very straight forward. Would recommend and would use again.

   Needed a single oven fast, which needed fitting for a renter who had a young family for Christmas. Walked in the shop at 230pm on a Friday afternoon on Christmas weekend and they had one fitted within the hour with prices that matched the Internet. Free immediate delivery, took old appliance away no cost amazing service. Definitely will be using again.
