I purchased a cabinet 2 days ago, which unfortunately wasn't fit for purpose. I called the shop on the same day & was told I could return it, as I had my receipt. I took it back today & the lady (for want of a better word) was extremely rude. To quote her 'Next time make sure you measure correctly'. I don't her name, but she was wearing a mask. There was no need for her rudeness & it has made me not want to visit this shop in the future, which is a shame as I've not had any problems before. If this is how she speaks to all customers, I'm surprised you'll have any left.

Amazing service from start to finish collecting a sofa that I did not need anymore to be sold for donation. Friendly and efficient booking process over the phone and the two colleagues that did the collection were faultless- lifting all items, incredibly polite and friendly and so helpful to help me remove this sofa. I'm also glad the sofa will go to a new home and support the charity rather than just ending up in landfill. A great initiative by BHF! Thank you

See Malc b post, as I had the same experience. I also walk round to the Banardos shop who excepted my items gratefully.

I think this shop as some really nice stuff but I honestly can't get my head around the price they charge. It's only cheap if it's dirty or dinted or not good. I thought charity shops got donated there items. When you walk round and most items are between 100 and 250. I don't know many people that need CHARITY walking round with 200 in there pocket. I think these charity shops are hiding behind the word Charith and charging outrageous prices. Maybe a check from a government body from time to time would be good to see if they really are Charitable..Also £25 Delivery for same time ..COME ON WAKE UP THIS IS NOT CHARITY

Tried to donate various items to my local store. Decided they had to go through every item in the bag and turn their nose up. This particular Bhf store have become above their station if there not willing to accept donations don't waste everyone's time advertising. Bernados where quite happy to accept my donations straight away! I could understand if the items where in bad condition or broken this costs charity's disposal, however they where in good presentable condition. A lot of their items in store are priced to high in my opinion. You could buy the same items brand new for a lesser price. For example an asda picture frame marked up at a higher price than in asda store. In comparison to the Derby store, the store I visited lack customer service skills. I will continue to visit the derby store but will need to consider if I donate to this charity anymore in the future. The working model of this charity in my opinion has room for improvement. Reduce your prices and you may sell more. This will allow you to move stock on quickly and get repeat customers. I really hope Bhf can improve things

I wanted to donate my sofa to the British Heart foundation because my dad died from a heart attack. I rang up and arranged a date two guys came to pick it up. I would just like to say the guys were really nice and friendly and told me that I would get a message letting me know when they sold it and how much it has made for this wonderful and close to my heart charity. Thank you again and I hope that someone has good use out of my much loved sofa and that the charity gets the money it needs to carry on its fantastic work.

Visited recently having just moved into the area and was very impressed by the range, quality and price of items on sale here. Purchased a selection of items and we're pleased with them. Will definitely visit again.

Mostly nicely saved second hand products. The choice is yours if you want to take something or not. Delivery available for an extra price and it doesn't take too many days for it to be done. At least you will have your products indoors especially if you live upstairs.

Excellent. A must for anyone on a budget moving into a new residence. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely items at bargain prices. I've had some lovely things from here for not much money and upcycled some wooden furniture into nice new pieces with just a little chalk paint.

Messed around for days via email regarding them collecting a donation when I had already provided all the information in my initial online form that I had submitted. Then they finally decide they can't collect the donation on the days and times I had specified... 7 emails and 3 days in! Well if you don't want a working 32" Samsung flat screen TV as a donation then I'll sell it myself. I was trying to be charitable and not greedy, but now I see the error of my ways. Never encountered such a picky charity. Complete waste of time.
