I was seen by Becky today and she was absolutely lovely! she explained everything so clearly and was very supportive! I feel more assured In how to support my own feet now since my visit. I would definitely recommend coming in to get checked if you have any issues.

Visited foot solutions following the amputation of a toe due to a diabetic foot infection. The advice given by Becky was second to none. In addition to this, the assistant manager was also kind enough to provide a second opinion at every step to ensure that I had complete confidence in the service. Admittedly, the price was higher than you would pay at a standard/run of the meal outlet but the shoes I purchased are the most comfortable I’ve ever worn! I literally limped in and walked out pain-free. As if this was not enough, they were able to examine and measure my wife’s feet as she has a bunion that has hurt her for years. They then provided trainers of extremely high-quality and she says it is like walking on sir now. Absolutely outstanding. We will be going here for all our footwear needs in future. You get what you pay for! Thank you so much guys, we will see you again in due course. Brian and Rebecca.

I'm so grateful for the fabulous service, practical help and advice from Foot Solutions in Plymouth and particularly from Becky. I work in retail, which is very hard on your feet and i am currently suffering from plantar facitis in my right heel. I was really struggling to find comfortable footware in which i could continue to work. Becky has been brilliant in applying the diagnostic tools in store to help provide me with arch support, order me personalised orthotic insoles and give a very tailored fit service which means i now have three brilliant pairs of trainers. The benefit of properly supportive footwear has brought me real pain relief and has enabled me to keep working. Staff are always very welcoming and friendly when i come into store and Becky has such a wealth of practical knowledge and advice. The follow up fit appointments (after receiving my orthotic insoles) really helped.

Pushy sales staff - use scare tactics to sell. Their products are very overpriced and when I went elsewhere because I was getting more pain, it turned out my trainers were too big and the insole wasn't right for my gait (which they had tested)!.Thankfully the change helped but with a lot of money and time wasted. Admittedly my experience was a couple of years ago but a friend has had a similar experience to the above recently which is what has prompted me to write a review now, as it seems they are still misadvising and alarming customers just to sell products. 'Specialist' shops like this should not have staff posing as experts when they are not as it is putting people's mobility at risk. I'm assuming staff are on commission, which has no place in a health advisory role. There are proper sports shops in Plymouth who know their subject and genuinely guide you to the right shoes - not the most expensive - and I would strongly advise going to one of them instead.

Brilliant service and experience all-round. Since struggling with plantar fasciitis for a while, nothing had helped until I visited Foot Solutions and was given a thorough assessment by the extremely knowledgable and friendly staff. I was subsequently fitted with orthotics that totally alleviate my symptoms and have permitted me to get back to an active pain free life. I cannot thank them enough for this. Wonderful experience from start to finish. I cannot recommend them enough.

Would highly recommend the services of Foot Solutions. After suffering from planteur fasciitis for nearly a year went to see Joanne who suggested orthotics. Had them made and 2 months on am no longer limping or in pain. Thank you Joanne.

Visited with relative to seek comfortable & elegant sandal, with specific design to protect part of foot which had proved vulnerable. On explaining shop was like no other & that relative would benefit from an hour consultation if booked, (which we had intended to do initially), it transpired any actual footwear ordered would thus come from a warehouse & would not be custome made. Whilst it was evident Joanne knows her trade & was professional to some extent, she had little idea that her facial grimaces she pulled when relative explained damage to her feet had made relative all but give up. On reading other's reviews, it is also clear Joanne is an expert in her field on helping to correct most podiatry challenges, however it is such a shame she was unaware of how embarrassed she made relative feel. Relative had recently lost spouse so visit was to help lift spirits, sadly it put relative off altogether. My only regret is that I did not make Joanne aware of this as I'm sure she would have apologised.

Have always had fallen arches/flat feet and watched my father and his brother suffer as they got older to the point of struggling to walk and using a stick. Badly damaged my foot (ripped tendons, etc.) which was my fault and didn't help, nor did the subsequent gout attacks/arthritis which were simply genetics at work. Eventually invested in my own stick as I was struggling to walk and feeling unbalanced and in pain. Had insoles from N.H.S. before but weren't great for me. Foot Solutions had a look at my feet, Joanna provided great, concise and plain advice, as well as sensible shoes with brilliant support, and custom insoles that provide stability without pain. I can walk again, and for hours too. Do I still get pain? Sure that's age and arthritis, but I get so much less pain it's easily endured unlike before. Is it expensive? Yes, but it's an investment in mobility. Cheaper than a motorised scooter and so much better for you.

Very good. I have to wear insoles as I have hip problems and tend to go over on my shoe. Since wearing their shoes I have been more upright and walk for longer. I don't live in Plymouth now but when I need shoes this shop is were I go. They are very professional and will tell you if a shoe is not right for you. They measure your feet and they then take a record, which they keep . Today I wanted to get some walking shoes like I had worn before and they looked it up right away.
