This pub offers a lively atmosphere with a mix of regulars and new faces. The craft beer options rotate often keeping things interesting. Food arrives quickly and tastes fresh especially the wings and nachos. Seating is comfortable and there’s plenty of space to move around. Bartenders are upbeat, attentive and know their drink list well. A fun place to unwind after work or catch up with a group.

Booked here for a Sunday lunch. Food was ok, nothing special. I was disappointed with the amount of meat on my plate, just 3 small slices, accompanied by a meagre amount of roast potatoes . I was glad I ordered a portion of mash as a side ( though I feel mashed potatoes shouldn't be a side dish with a Sunday dinner) My partner also found her gravy contained too much in the way of mustard seeds and was not to her taste. Overall I found the food tasty, but rather small in portion size.

We had a delicious Sunday lumch, lovely service with a smile (thank you Tory) and a good atmosphere. Great value for money. Gluten free options and beer available.

The William Gunn truly exceeded our expectations! We were looking for a dog-friendly pub where we could relax, enjoy good food, and settle into a cosy corner—and this place delivered on all fronts. We were seated in a wonderfully snug spot with warm, dim lighting, and our dog was warmly welcomed with a large bowl of water, which was a lovely touch. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout. The only downside was the wait time—it took nearly 50 minutes for our meals to arrive. Because of that, we decided to skip dessert, as we didn’t want to end up spending over three hours there. That said, everything else was excellent, and we’d definitely return (just maybe when we’re not in a rush).

This pub is outstanding. It is really modern and it has only been open a few months. I went for Sunday lunch with my dad and I have to say it was outstanding. It was really tasty and delicious. I had a cauliflower cheese as a side order and this was really nice. Then I had to finish off with the sticky Toffee Pudding with custard for dessert. We'll what can I say it definitely got my taste buds going and it was superb. I would definitely recommend it to everybody x x

It looks a lot nicer here that in previous bars I this building. You can still smell the fresh paint. It was very quiet on our visit but I can imagine for the sport it will be very popular. Looking forward to popping in again

It was Steak night, 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £30. Steaks were cooked perfectly as were the sides. Excellent value for money. Lovely staff. Friendly and very helpful. Great addition to West Bridgford. Definitely be back

Stylish and pleasant modern pub in Nottingham, close to Trent Bridge Stadium and the river Trent. The pub owners say that they have 2 or 3 cask ales on all the time (see reply), maybe it was too late in the evening (I had just left the Robin Hood Beer Festival) or I didn't look close enough, because I didn't see them. If you're looking for a place to hang out and relax and can abide by mostly lagers on offer, The William Gunn is actually very nice - especially the outside seating area on a mild autumn afternoon. Friendly staff.

Popped in for lunch unexpectedly and so glad I did. I'm a bit of a Sport memorabilia geek so loved all that, but I digress. The food was superb. A lovely roast, but my choice of the Burger was superb and I know my burgers! Very friendly staff and love the traditional feel it has. Deserves to be a success, will definitely be going back.
