1st visit - Lunchtime 6-11-25, The kitchen was closed, however, the landlady offered to prepare us both a welcomed bowl of pumpkin soup - it was delicious, which was a result of her own home grown produce, lovely young landlady, setting out on a new venture - will definately be back, for a main meal soon
We stopped off here on our way back from the Lincolnshire coast, it was a Thursday lunch time so it was very quiet hence the 4 for Atmosphere. However the fire was on and the Landlady was very welcoming to my wife and I and our 2 dogs. We both had the Fish Fingers in a Bloomer with chips and we both throughly enjoyed it. The dogs had treats too and we will definitely be back, we have a Son and his family in Lincoln so this will be a nice halfway house for lunch. The Landlady mentioned she has only been here a month and hopefully she will make a great success of it, it's a smashing village pub in a very nice village. Great garden area too which we'll take advantage of next summer.
Perfect dog friendly, cosy pub spot and the best place for a proper roast dinner with an open fire. Have been trying to find a place like this for a while. Had the trio of meats plus the cauliflower cheese and a bottle of rioja... got to snuggle a puppy in the bar area afterwards so, all round, a great Sunday. Tim, the head chef was so keen to check everyone's meals were spot on and clearly takes pride in his work. Great price too, definitely will be back!
Great little pub in a quaint village, with a decent garden and a bit of life to it. Dad’s choir gang meet up there after practice sometimes and they’re relatively tolerant of their occasional singing! Pool table is pretty cheap and the pints are well poured.
Took my mum here for a lovely Sunday roast on Mothersday. The food was gorgeous, with well sized portions and the staff were very attentive and gifted my mum some lovely flowers which was a great touch.
This pub makes living in Cropwell butler a pleasure! The owners are the most down to earth welcoming people and the beer choice is great. This pub has been a flop for the last couple of years and now it is back in full force!
A nicely presented and well situated pub from what I could see. I only managed a half pint before I was crowded out by a large function who filled the bar area rather than their private room at the back. For the same reason I was unable to order food from their bar menu. I finished my drink in the smoking area. Just bad timing I suppose.
Lovely meal out with family. Restaurant was very busy with locals due to live band. Food was good and landlady gave us a free bottle of wine to compensate for the slow service. Entertainment was very enjoyable and a great, friendly atmosphere!
The pub had a lovely atmosphere and decorations, as well as friendly staff, however the food wasn't quite up to standard. While it was tasty, there were some parts that could be improved, for example the creme brulee wasn't set, the yorkshire puddings were burnt, and the lamb was tough. I would overall recommend this pub, as my family and I had a great time though.
