   My young grandson and I visited for a drink to cool us down where we could sit outside. It was the middle of the afternoon so pub was virtually empty. This is only reason for lowish score for atmosphere. To be honest, I was glad it was quite empty as it was an extremely hot day and would have been uncomfortable in a crowded place. Staff were very friendly and opened up doors to outside seating just for us. As I was driving I had a non-alcoholic cider and my grandson had a cola, so they made very little money from us, yet we were still treated as a valued customer.

   Checked the website before going to the crusader, website says food served until 9pm, we were travelling through the area and were hungry so pulled in at 7pm only to be told they had already closed the kitchen so food was not available, we decided to leave without purchasing anything and to try and find somewhere else in the area that was serving food as per their advertised website

   Visited after being done up, to try the food, lunchtime and it didn't disappoint, we had burgers on there buy 1 get 1 special, staff was friendly, as pool table and 2x dart boards (Take your own darts) Was plesent experience from what it was before will be visiting more

   Tried the food for the first time. Went with some neighbours. We had the Xmas menu. Got a free bottle of prosecco. The cauliflower wings were super. My steak I asked for rare it was cooked perfectly. We all enjoyed our food. Service was great from Grace and Emily. The wine was lovely. Well done we'll be back

   Asked for a well done steak....had to send it back twice as it was bleeding on the plate. When we finally got what we ordered the staff began shouting across the bar to see if other customers were happy with their meals. The staff seem happy to belittle paying customers. Not a great experience and would not recommend to anyone. Reading through the comments this place seems very much a hit or miss kind of affair.

   Honestly, the food was terrible. Cheese sandwich was dry grated cheese on stale bread. The apple pie was the reason one star as I couldn't give no stars. However, the folk that work there were lovely and allowed us to sit in the quieter room that they were getting ready for Santa I'm sure that they must have a speciality, but it's not a sandwich.

   Unreal refurb! Staff are super nice and my food was so quick!! I had a steak.. cheap price but it was absolutely unreal! Cannot recommend enough. Will be 100% going more often
