A quick pit stop for a shandy whilst on a bicycle ride on a Wednesday lunchtime. Looks to be very popular judging by the number of people dining. Bar staff, friendly and polite. Extensive outdoor area to the rear. Plenty of parking. Must try their fish n chips one of the next Fridays. Looks well worth another visit.

Fantastic pub. Great food and drinks. Staff are friendly and welcoming, what more can you ask for in a pub, we've been many times and will continue to to do so.

Nice pub. Unfortunately 50% of our order average. Wholetail scampi very small, doubt wholetail being that small. Chips home made. However lukewarm warm and very small portion. They did bring out replacement hot chips for me once I pointed it out, when compared to my partners I hardly had any and they were tepid. Advising a fresh batch had just been made. I don’t think unless I had said anything they would have offered correct size portion of hot chips. My partner had a different experience lovely gammon, hot chips good portion. A shame really inconsistent in quality and value between two meals served together. Service good, atmosphere nice.

Today, the 12th of June, we have had a great meal at the Queens Head. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. It was one of the best fish and chips I have had for a while. The Gammon and Egg was equally as good.

Had a lovely meal with family celebrating our mum's 91st Birthday. The food was beautiful and there was more than enough, very generous portions.

We had a lovely Friday lunch cooked to order but which came in good time. My fish, chips and mushy peas were really tasty. The fish was enormous, chips were chip shop quality and a generous amount of peas always helps.

Really enjoyed our time here. Lovley decor and nice staff!... the only suggeation I have is more vegetarian options on the menu as limited if you don't eat meat or fish. As bot me and my husband struggled to find something as we are vegetarian. Ended up having a cheese sandwich but would have preferred something hot.

Dropped in to what's clearly a busy pub. Tables reserved in advance. We managed a table and thoroughly enjoyed our food. Good quality, great portions and value for money.
