   Stayed overnight as attended a party nearby. Found the bed very hard and mattress old. When I stripped the bed in the morning it the mattress and toppers were yellowing. The mattress protect had yellow stain on. The runner on the bed with matching bolster pillows again looked very tierd and unclean. I felt they hadn't be washed in quiet some time. Breakfast service and food was lovely and really good quality. However staff were calling out to each other acoss the restaurant having general chit chat and then hoovering whilst I was try to have breakfast. Their in house dog was eating it's breakfast in the area and then later it was barking. Over all I found it all a bit much early in the morning after very little sleep. I can see the staff are friendly and work hard. The environment looks beautiful but the ornaments, furniture, and pictures all grubby and tierd. It was acceptable but I've had cleaner places for less money.

   Stayed for one night . Staff were very friendly. We had a meal which was very nice. Breakfast also very good. Decent choice of beers on tap. Bed very comfortable. Thank-you for a lovely stay.

   What an absolutely wonderful experience we had! It was a special occasion with family and friends to celebrate my baby Grandsons Christening. There were 60 of us for Sunday roast and the food was amazing. Hot and delicious. I understand the Vegetable Wellington option was also excellent. I had the Roast Beef and it was the best I have ever had. People in our party had travelled from afar and some were staying in the accommodation at the Springfield, they were very happy with it and the full English breakfast. Myles and his team were efficient, professional and very welcoming. So good in fact we booked for Christmas Day. Thank you all so much for making the day perfect!

   Nipped in at about 20:30 on a weekday and Nicky showed us to a lovely table and talked us through the specials, the service she gave was so warm and friendly and the food was really good! I had the pie and my partner had the chicken schnitzel, we shared the baked Camembert to start. Cannot fault anything here, all this and it’s dog friendly! Brilliant

   Potentially one of the best Sunday roasts out there! I opted for the trio, which included turkey, beef and pork belly. Everything was beautifully cooked, no tough meat at all, and full of flavour. You also got a very generous amount of vegetables and offered extra gravy. The staff are also very friendly and the service is brill. I have already recommended it to friends and will be back for another roast!

   The whole experience was absolutely brilliant, outstanding food,especially the turkey roast dinner and trio cheesecake dessert. We brought our 94 year old nan,and she was thrilled to bits. Lovely and warm and comfortable atmosphere. The welcome we first received when we arrived wasn't the most warmest,but I put it down to stress I guess. The food was beautiful, I was just expecting a tea or coffee with a mince to be including as a final course for £75 per person. But this is not a complaint in the slightest, just a comment. We will definitely be booking again. Thank you to the blonde lady,who runs the pub I believe,she looked after us so so well.

   We won a competition here, from the moment we arrived it was great. The food was lovely, hats off to the chef and kitchen staff. The gin was flowing, great atmosphere. Service fabulous. Fiona is a great host..

   Hidden little gem, great food amazing staff nothing was too much trouble. Homemade food is a rare thing in some pubs today everything we ordered was lovely definitely will be back. We had sirloin 8oz steak which was cooked to perfection and my husband had hunters chicken which he said was amazing too.
