The pub has a cozy old school charm with dim lighting and wooden interiors. Drinks are well priced and the draft beer selection is surprisingly varied. The food is classic pub fare crispy fries juicy burgers and hearty portions. Staff stay friendly and quick even when the place gets busy. Music is loud enough to add energy but not too loud to talk. A great spot for casual hangouts or weekend nights with friends.

I came in to celebrate my birthday with a Sunday lunch that had been highly recommended to me. I was told it was the best in Nottingham and after eating it I have to agree. The meat was incredible and all of the extras you get with it just made the meal. Our waitress Amelia did an amazing job at both recommending wine and what meat to have!!! Would 1000% recommend to anyone looking for a world class roast.

A few Sundays ago, my first experience at the Good Fellow George, i had the privilege of being served by Freya. She was extremely accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure I had the best experience. Her bubbly and charismatic personality made the experience two times more enjoyable!! Highly recommend the good fellow george for a cosy Sunday dinner :) .

Really enjoyed the Sunday Roast at the Good Fellow George today. The highlight was the crackling on the pork belly, crispy, snappable and delicious! Roasts came with the traditional accompaniments and cauliflower cheese comes as standard. Only gripe would be the inclusion of peas and the gravy was a bit tasteless. It was 2 courses for £23 and everyone left full and happy.

Superb addition to the Nottingham pub scene. Good range of beers, nice staff and pleasant smoking area. Well done to the leaders and team. They show football and have lots of comfortable seating.

Good beer and exceptionally good food. Haven't tried the meat option yet but the choices on the cheese platter are just amazing. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff can highly recommend .

This is a new pub that started as we come out of one of many lockdowns. The two chaps who run it are both experienced with bars and service. The pub is similar in decor as it was when it was run by the previous people. It’s a good place for a beer. The staff are friendly and the owners make the effort to speak and get to know the people who drink here. I have brought my little boy down during the day before and they are very accepting. The license is no children after 7 and the owners clearly told us this. I was really lucky to meet the owner of the building in the bar. He gave me a little tour of the cellar which used to be a Westminster bank. The original safes, doors and locks are really impressive. Good luck to the owners…great bar which is relaxed and friendly. Top marks!
