This is a fantastic family run pub that we have been using for the last 10 years for our coach parties going to either Nottingham and Derby. Great food and atmosphere. better than stopping off at Service stations and just 5 mins from the M1. Huge outside area for eating and drinking in the warmer months. Bar staff and Landlady always attentive to your needs.

Lovely Sunday lunch here. Friendly people, cool collection of tankards hanging from the ceiling. Dog friendly and a good all around visit.

Rang up to pre-order food as we nearly didn't make it for lunch. Food is excellent and all home made. The value is outstanding. The beef in my baguette was so tasty and the gravy to die for. Also fantastic real choice with the Jaipur on top form. The landlady was also very welcoming and funny. We will back!!

Wow, this place is amazing. This is a hidden gem , ever so quirky with great food at a fantastic price. The Sunday roast dinner is value for money and is amazing the best I have had in years. Well done to the owner for making it such a lovely experience, the staff are amazing and location is really tranquil. We enjoyed our Sunday dinner so much we went back the next few days, the curry night was brilliant and the steaks, mixed grill are awesome. You have to check this place out if you are in the area.

Started well. Friendly welcome. Great choice of beers. Our starters were pretty good but sadly our mains were terrible. Soggy pie, chilli tasted like it was tinned and the chips were the worst we have ever had. Cold, hard, under cooked, full of nasty tasting oil. All a bit of a shame as the environment is great and the service was great. Maybe we were just unlucky

Proper old pub with loads of character. Excellent food at very reasonable prices. Huge collection of jugs hanging from the beams. Large garden and playground, and they keep ducks and chickens.

Visited on spec for a pint of very well kept & poured real ale Friday lunchtime. Friendly & capable bar lady & they sell hen & duck eggs at the bar! Very large enclosure with happy hens & ducks, fab to watch whilst quaffing. Spacious beer garden with sunny & shady areas.

Amazing pub Hidden away down a back street but great for the kids and adults to relax whilst the kids tire themselves out. Highly recommended
