Really enjoyed lunch here today. Huge starter portions. Burger proper tasty. Drinks a little slow but overall I would definitely revisit. (Think I would book next time as very busy and we were fortunate to get fitted in without one!)
Excellent restaurant. Food was really great (with a good weekday offer of 2 mains and a bottle of wine). Nice atmosphere, but the best thing was the service (Lois).. top drawer. Recommended.
Very nice out of the way little gem of a place, had Haddock and Chips, perfecto it was, washed down with a Guinness. Has a Gin bar upstairs with an older style pub to the rear and a newer wine bar type experience to the front. Fully worth a visit, staff friendly. Possibly worth booking to ensure a table as every table was reserved.
Popped in for cocktails, ending up having food aswell. Very friendly bar staff, food was delicious. Drinks were amazing, could of drank many more than we had. Lovely bar/restaurant, would definitely visit again.
This is a nice bar with a pleasant ambiance and a good tap selection but is hampered by poor customer service. Bartenders standing talking to their mates about the football rather than actually serving people standing at the bar when it's not even busy. Glass washers standing at the end of the bar doing nothing but lifting glasses and putting them back down again. Stood for a full five minutes at an empty bar whilst two barmen shuffled their feet doing nothing before noticing I was there. Learn some good customer service and respect please.
Absolute joke, I would not recommend this place to anybody. We had our work Christmas party in Henry’s last weekend. 4 bar tables were put together to sit 12 people, needless to say it was cosy for a 3 course meal. I had the vegetarian main, see picture below, which was an absolute disgrace for a £37 menu: a burnt sausage roll sized mushroom wellington, a whole roast potato cut in half, about 3 branches of tenderstem broccoli and a massive boat of gravy, not sure why as there was almost nothing in my plate to put it on … complete rip-off
The place is very pretty, but we waited over an hour for our food and it was anything but outstanding. Staff didn't really do anything to make up for the delay. We had a fairly central table and we kept being ignored by waiters. Music was so loud we could not hear each other. Probably great for drinks, but definitely would not recommend if you plan on dining in.
