This place was the quintessential irish pub experience my wife and I were looking for. We caught some dinner upstairs in the restraunt and the food was amazing. My wife ordered the Irish stew. I have never seen her eat an onion but I thought I might end up I Crumlin Road Gaol if I took a second one from her bowl. The stew was amazing, and so was the chicken stack I ordered, it was unique but delicious. We ordered profiterols for desert and they were perfecr, not to sweet or over decadent. If your looking for a laid back dinner experience and a great pub to visit downstairs after, stop in here. 10 out of 10 would recommend

We had dinner at the restaurant upstairs. The food was traditional and enjoyable. The vegan cottage pie tasted even better than normal ones. And the apple crumble was hearty. The pub has good live music but a bit too noisy for us.

Superb, traditional and bustling pub with music downstairs, lovely restaurant upstairs. Had the Irish stew, really decent and hearty although portion not massive for the money but you pay for the central location and with a side or starter would have been fine. Ordered and had the food in less than 5mins as they have it on the go. Lots on the menu, was served by the lovely Roisin who was so friendly and helpful. It was so good I came back the next day as she'd recommended the ham and champ but sadly missed out as didn't realise they close the kitchen just after 8. I gather the pub is the oldest in town, it's got bags of character and was the prettiest I visited in Belfast.

We initially went to the pub second but in order to get food you need to go upstairs. I had the spicy chicken burger and thought it was pretty good. Juicy chicken breast with fries. The restaurant got quite busy and only had 2 servers on. The other food I saw looked quite good. It's worth a try if you're in the area.

What a find!! Amazing, really old Irish pub. So cosy and so many gorgeous authentic features, decor and ornaments everywhere. An old style coach house, low ceilings, random doors and features. The outside is nicely done too. It gives it such a friendly, communal feel. And what a fantastic pint of Guinness too!! They do food too, but we didn't eat, so we can't comment. You must come here. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed a good stew here and two pints if Guinness. Apparently, Belfast's second oldest pub? Not busy when I visited, so I enjoyed lunch and had a look round. A must if visiting the city

Gorgeous old gem hidden away in the heart of Belfast! Love how the authenticity is preserved and the building retains its rustic charm. Nice additional seating area outside, very helpful staff who were friendly and service was prompt. First visit here but without a doubt not the last!

Beautiful pub and we met some super friendly folks hanging out there. The bat tenders are super cool and know how to have a great time. The liveliness of this place was refreshing and the overall history of it being the oldest pub in Belfast/Ireland was phenomenal. This pub has been around for 300 years and has survived through a ton of turmoil throughout the years. Highly recommend this spot for drinks and chillin! Enjoy the photos on the wall and all of the history of has to offer.

Popped in here twice while in Belfast for a few days. Is a great pub, really enjoyed it. The staff are great, the locals great too which I always find great in a centrally located pub. The first time I visited was Sunday afternoon and there was some live music in which was great, the second time was Tuesday afternoon so was a little quieter, but still a very pleasant place for a drink. Probably my favourite pub frequented while in Belfast.
