This pub makes you feel you are at your local. There is a great atmosphere with a selection of music but it is the nights when they offer traditional sessions that it feels the most welcoming. The food here is delicious and reasonably priced. Always best to book a table if you want to eat, especially on the weekends.
I don't know what it was about this place, but from the moment I arrived in Belfast I was immediately and inexplicably draw towards this place. My girlfriend refused to go in because she said it looked rough. By the third day in Belfast she was in there. It's got a really great selection of beers and alt Stouts. And there was live trad music. For me my favourite pub in Belfast so far.
A really lovely pub in the memory of John Hewitt, and his work. Great selection of craft beers and drinks in general. Food was awesome. The ragu lasagne was great!
This is a great bar. It recently changed hands and they did the right thing and left the bar as it was. Wonderful old-fashioned look. Has a large range of craft beers and ales and they are definitely worth trying. Live entertainment several nights a week. Another plus is that there are no televisions on the walls. Great! Support this bar, it is an absolute gem. T
This was always one of the better pubs in Belfast, but now they are connected to Boundary brewery. Great draft selection, great fridge for take away, fair prices and friendly staff. An absolutel must for any beer lever coming to Belfast.
Exceptional local craft beer, lovely relaxing surroundings and live music most nights. No TVs here, a proper pub with a great vibe!
JH is a great bar. Lovely calm ambience. Fantastic selection of beers to choose from for all tastes. Outside beer garden is an excellent area to sit, relax, drink regardless of the weather. Can't praise this place enough for the service.
Called in for a beer on our way home as we always do when out in Belfast. This bar was always packed and vibrant in the past. What a change, hardly a crowd at all and then I realised why, I went to the bar to order a drink, no popular brands of beer, I got a pint of home brew stout that tasted terrible, I asked for pinot grecio or sauvignon blanc, they didn't have it. Got a glass of white wine but it was not good.only positive was the live band were good but will not be back.
