I (19 female) was having a nice time here enjoying the music when I was told by a bouncer he had his eye on me. I said okay and continued as I don't drink so wasn't sure what the issue was. About 10 mins later I was manhandled and taken out with quite some force despite not kicking up any fuss. I was then passed on to a different bouncer who took me down the street and she asked me what the issue was as she noticed I seemed fine and not a troublemaker. It was a really humiliating experience and cut a friend's leaving party early as as a young female I couldn't then walk home alone so another friend had to also leave.

Brilliant live music, fast bar staff and good atmosphere. Takes a while to get in when it's busy. Always a big queue in the bar area for the loo when it's busy is only downside.

This place has the potential to be a real gem in the city centre a charming little Irish bar with a great location. Unfortunately, it completely misses the mark on hospitality. The staff, including management and servers, seemed more interested in chatting with each other than serving customers, often with their backs turned while people waited at the bar. Service was painfully slow, with no attempt to take more than one order at a time. Worse still, there wasn’t a smile or a hint of friendliness — just grumpy, unwelcoming faces. It felt like being a burden rather than a guest. I could have happily stayed for the evening, but the atmosphere pushed me out the door. A prime example of how standards in bar service have slipped disappointing and avoidable.

A nice place with a good atmosphere of customer. I found the bouncers very friendly. The toilets were filthy and while at the bar waiting to be served the bar maid knew I was next and skipped me to serve somebody who had just arrived to the bar. I spoke up and said that I was there first but I had no problem with the other person being served first. She replied and said she would serve the other person first and might serve me when she was finished. I thought it was completely unnecessary and rude and very unprofessional. People like this bring down the name of a bar. From reading other reviews I imagine it is the same lady who has been mentioned. As I said overall a nice bar with a good atmosphere but filthy toilets and a rude lady serving behind the bar.

A quiet Irish bar you would nearly miss wedged behind The Thirsty Goat and The Dirty Onion. Been relatively quiet the few times I've been which I don't mind. Plenty of seating indoors and outside. Decent tap selection if inflated prices as per almost anywhere in the city centre. Toilets are clean and bar well kept. Good if you're struggling to get seated in the surrounding bars in Cathedral Quarter.

Was having a good time here until I had a really negative experience with the bar staff. Waiting for ages to be served and realised both bar staff were serving others before me even though they saw me, made eye contact and new full well I was waiting. I leaned forward and said "hello" to the female bar staff as she started serving a woman right next to me that literally just walked over to the bar. When I asked if I could be served next the female bar staff said she was not going to serve me because apparently I shouted at her? Seriously, I shouted at you?? Really?! I looked over at the other bar staff and he simply shrugged his shoulders. Poor service and attitude from both the staff on duty the evening of 24 Sept 2022. Happened to be the only person of colour in the whole place. Won't be back and will be making a complaint with management.

Fun, intimate, joyful space for dancing or drinking to live traditional songs or covers by excellent musicians.

Cider festival exceeded all expectations, if you get a chance to go to it next year, go! Trad music here, and has outdoor seating area and a couple of different rooms indoors, so you can find somewhere you can have a conversation, or enjoy the musicl
