Went here with a friend for a Christmas dinner. We had been advised that they don't take reservations and its all walk ins, however when we got there, there was reservation signs on the tables and we were told that there was nothing available. After being persistent and talking to many different staff we were told we could have one of the tables but it would be needed for 5:30pm. At the time it was 3pm so this worked well for us. Unfortunately the christmas menu is set, so you have to have 2 or 3 courses not just one. There is there main menu, which also looked really good. The food was delicious and definitely worth the hassle of trying to get a table. We where down in the main bar which was super noisy. Not sure if there was space upstairs, just for dinning. Top marks for the food, cant fault it at all. Plus the service for taking orders and receiving the food was also great. It would be good if they had an online booking system or even just a phone to book system, instead of stating no reservations needed. This might be better for the staff and the kitchen to be able to manage orders and guests coming in.

We sampled all the beers they make on-premise (that were available) and found most of them to be very good. A few were unavailable and the bar staff was apologetic and quick to offer alternatives. For dinner we had the Ham, Egg 'n' Chips and the Drunken Chowder both were excellent. Place was packed and the servers were hustling doing their best to keep up. All in all we enjoyed a great visit.

The Deer's Head is a perfectly serviceable traditional pub in central Belfast. We stopped in for dinner one night. A fairly simple plate of fish & chips along with a caesar salad. Service was pleasant. Food was adequate. A decent selection of beers on tap. Very spacious. Moderate lighting level & certainly not noisy. No real complaints about this place, it was just quite average.

We had a good pub experience. They have a very basic menu with limited options but good options. The beef with the Yorkshire pudding was good. Their beer options were good. Overall a good experience but a little pricier.

It was ukulele night. There were 15-20 or so people playing ukuleles one sitting on/playing a drum and one switching out between some horn and a concertina. The beer was magnificent. It was crowded but friendly.

Great pub with lots of beer on tap. They even had their own little distillery. There was a plum cider that was enjoyed by our group. The IPA was also excellent. There was plenty of seating. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area and have time.

Fantastic traditional Victorian pub with its own microbrewery. Great selection of their own brews plus an array of craft beers from NI breweries and beyond. Beautiful interior with loads of attention to detail. First class service. Can’t wait to come back!

Traditional pub with craft-beer twist. You can get tasting beer flight with 3 x 1/3 pint of their beer that they brew next door for taste. There’s also the hot wings that is made with their IPA BBQ source that is finger licking good. In the winter time there’s Irish coffee and we had the Neils signature one which is one of the top 3 Irish coffee that I ever had.
