   Below par service and awful rude owner. Booked a curly blow dry treatment online for Christmas Eve. Called to confirm appointment day prior. Was told all booked, I explained I had hair extensions and the girl on the phone move appointment from 12:45 to 12 so they have more time this. Was then called back an hour later assuming this was the stylist, explaining she wasn’t confident with extensions and would be moving my appointment over to someone with more experience. Attended for my appointment and was greeted nice enough. My stylist off the bat started making comment about my extensions and how heavy they must be. She multiple times made comments regarding the curls dropping out and how it wouldn’t be possible to do an actual curly blow dry, due to the extensions.. rather blow dry straight and curl.. I said ok. When washing my hair the water was freezing cold and she washed too area and sides, completely skipped in between extensions or underneath. When drying my hair I explained twice there would need to be extra focus on the top of the weft as it takes longer to dry. I could tell the stylist was struggling with my extensions and obviously had little to no experience with them. I told her to dry my hair and straighten it to make the process less painful for me and her. After explaining twice about drying the root I gave up. Don’t get me wrong the stylist was pleasant enough but just obviously wasn’t comfortable with hair extensions or blow drying skills. Which makes no sense due to my appointment being moved to her specifically. Hair was very unclean underneath as can be shown in photo below and weft was still wet through near root. I left with straight hair rather then curly blow dry I had originally booked. I paid and left as I felt bad for stylist. But when I got home and assessed hair closer I decided to call to speak to owner, this is when my experience turned awful. Owner was super arrogant and rude. She stated twice I needed to tell them I had extensions prior to appointment which I did and tried to explain to her but she continued to talk over me. She told me how hard it is to dry extensions which makes no sense as I booked a blow drying service with a hairdressers. And have never had issues previously as any other hairdressers. I can not emphasis how disgustingly patronising the lady on the phone was. I explained I was 7 months pregnant and had specifically booked the service for Christmas. She gave no empathy and only acted as if it was a me problem. After getting frustrated with the way she was belittling me, she stated ‘shouldn’t be getting worked up over such little amount of money’. How disgusting and snobby. She proceeded to offer me a complimentary blow dry.. which wouldn’t be complimentary at all as I paid for the service originally and was left needing to go home and re wash my own hair. Never mind the time I’d taken out, child care and car park I’d paid for. I asked what time? And she said well obviously not today in the most smarmy manner. Which makes no sense as I booked a service specifically for Christmas. I explained I would prefer just a refund and to end the call. She tried to battle the refund and then finally agreed. I explained I would be leaving this review. She then tried to apologise after speaking to me awfully for the last 10 minutes. Owners name was Sarah but gave more Karen vibes. Would avoid at all cost just based on the customer service and arrogance of the owner.

   Lovely cut and colour today! Lucy really listened and offered great suggestions before starting. She worked very professionally applying the colour with precision and achieving an excellent result. For the first time, I left the salon with a perfectly styled haircut that I didn’t need to fix at home. It wasn’t too voluminous at the roots — just perfect. I felt well cared for from start to finish. The products smell natural and the colour didn’t cause any irritation. Highly recommend and I’ll definitely be back! Thank you Lucy :)

   I trusted Karen with my graduation haircut and I could not be more happy with it! Her 20+ years of experience really shows in her care and attention to her client and the hospitality of the entire team at Urban Therapy was also top tier! The whole experience felt luxurious and relaxing, and I left feeling so pretty and pampered thanks to her, so I couldn't recommend this place more! Thank you so much Karen!

   I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Amber and Kirsty for taking such good care of me and my hair yesterday. Amber worked her magic with colour and Kirsty with cutting and styling. Patient and they listened to me, offering advice and suggestions. Lovely salon with excellent team who make you feel welcome the minute you walk through the door. I'll be back soon.

   I have never gone out my way to leave a review before but on this occasion I had to. For many years I have struggled to tame my natural curly hair and have been to many salons and tried all kinds of products. I have straightened it a lot over the but recently I have decided to try and embrace my natural hair. I knew I had to start getting a decent cut and find someone who knew what they were doing. I did abit of research and found Ben. I’m so glad I did he did not disappoint! Ben talked me through every product and gave me a few tips when diffusing. I have never seen my hair look so healthy and defined, I could believe it. U left feeling amazing. I will be back for regular cuts without a doubt. He is by far the best hair dresser I have ever came across. The salon had a lovely feel too and everyone was really friendly. Brilliant experience from start to finish. Thank you so much guys.

   Terrible hairdressers! DO NOT GO HERE. I went for a cut and blow dry and the hair dresser was so rude. He rushed through my hair-cut and blow dry in 30 minutes resulting in a completely lop sided hair cut! I have chin length hair and one side is about an inch shorter than the other! He also burnt my head with a ridiculously hot diffuser and made me hang my head upside down for about 10 minutes resulting in me looking like a frizzy poodle! When I told the owners about my experience they said that the hairdressers was trying to 'educate' me on the best way to dry my hair!!! Could you get more patronising??!

3. Shopper Happy vs Unhappy ★☆☆☆☆

   The single worst hairdressing experience I have ever had! I walked into the salon with mousy brown roots and walked out with grey/white roots! I love spending time and money to look aged. The ‘natural’ blonde look I was hoping for isn’t quite there either - the hairdresser in question has no ability to match shade to skin tone. Her concentration was also all over the place. She was looking over my head into the street while her scissors cruised down the hair that frames my face – she wasn’t even looking at what she was doing! Both her skill level and professionalism were below average. She wandered off and left me waiting to go and chat about her dogs and share photos on her phone with another hairdresser's client for at least 5 minutes while my head was bent back over the sink, and another time to chat to a person who’d wandered in off the street to talk about products for 5-10 minutes. None of these times were while the dye was taking hold I should add. She was using ‘my’ time to ponce about. I won’t name the young woman in question, as she’s not actually malicious, but she could perhaps do with further training to take her up to the talent level and attitude expected from a high-end salon that charges double the going rate. Just to make it clear: the photos I've uploaded with the grey roots are from 'after' the bad dye job - I did not have grey roots before I went in!
