   I work just down the road from Barell and Still and often visit for a weekend wine or gift purchase. The chap is very informative - I explained I was early on in my wine journey and wanted to learn more so I can hold my own in a wine related conversation! I explained what flavours I liked and he suggested a particular bottle. I have to day he nailed it! I am half a bottle deep and still enjoying it :) He also helped me pick a rum as a present last year which went down a treat. I would highly recommend coming here for your wine and spirits, especially if you are keen to understand more about what you're purchasing.

   We stopped in to find out more about the local rims that they had in the window. We found that the shop had a much larger selection than owe expected and Dominic to be exceptionally knowledgeable about each, brand and their processes. He made some recommendations and provided us with tasters alongside these. We also tried some exceptional local whisky, and ended up buying a bottle of this, along with a bottle of wonderful rum. Our experience as customers could not have been higher and I cannot recommend Dominic and the Barrell & Still enough.

   Just visited with my fiancé whilst on holiday in Devon. The shop owner was lovely, he helped my fiancé pick out a lovely rum and explained the process of how it was made. There were lots of samples for you to try as well and the owner seemed very knowledgable. I would definitely recommend!

   Why go anywhere else? The team are fantastic and friendly; their knowledge is second to none; the selection is amazing; they are really community minded; and their prices do not break the bank (unless you want to, of course). We are so lucky to have such a brilliant independent wine merchants in our town!

   Great shop for selection of local beers, cider and wines. They also have a very good range of whiskeys and different gins. The prices are reasonable compared to some other places nearby. There is a loading bay parking space opposite, and the shop will make up an order and you can bring you car up to load. I bought two ciders as a gift, and the man gift wrapped the bottles with a ribbon bow at no extra cost. Very good service.
