Stayed here a week for a business trip. Absolutely horrendous hotel. Breakfast is a military style food ration. No food in the hotel whatsoever other than a vending machine in the corridor full of chocolate. When I left 'please top me up' on the door nothing was cleaned or topped up, only old towels were hung again in the bathroom. Hotel is very noisy at night. At night I hear the door banging on the corridor and hand dryer noise coming from room underneath on the ground floor. Showers are far too small I was getting constantly touched by wet shower curtain because there's no space to move. There's some questionable people moving about reception for hours at the time making me think this hotel is used for emergency accomodation for council. There's nothing to do in the area and main road next to it is closed meaning it takes about 30 min every day to get to city centre. As cherry on top electric radiator is making high pich noise when on and it's been mounted right next to bed presumably so you can hear it even better. Please save yourself frustration and don't ever stay at this hotel. It suffers with major layout problems and recent fresh lick if paint isn't goint to fix it.

Staff were lovely , the hallway was reminiscent of a horror movie minus the gore with what looked to be a giant mold patch. The room was ok but can't say it was clean the bathroom smelt sour and the shower curtain had a weird stain on it . Water pressure decided to give out mid shower which was fun and the doors didn't have any proper locks

The staff here have been amazing. I stayed 2 nights with my daughter while my partner is in the hospital nearby and I have no complaints at all. The room was clean, comfortable and had brilliant accessibility for disabled person. The room had plenty of space around it and the bathroom was a fully kitted out wet room with folding seat and lowered sink. I felt seen and understood by the staff and they were very accommodating to the point that I wanted some scissors for a craft project and they found me some straight away. I would definitely stay again.

The staff were excellent. Friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable but some of the detailing is tired. However, we are given to understand that there is shortly to be a refurbishment. Irrespective of that it was inexpensive and clean. We had a good night's sleep and enjoyed our overnight stay. One needs to remember that this is a budget hotel; if you want 4* or 5* decor and facilities you will need to pay more! A good stay.....

Staying on business and this was the only hotel available. This hotel would be acceptable for less than £50 but at £80 it was a huge disappointment and unsure how they can charge the same as the likes of premier inn down the road. Uncomfortable beds, no free Wi-Fi, carpets and threadbare and stained, no hair drier in the room. I think I’d rather drive home and back than stay here

A HUGE thank you to the staff especially the lady (so sorry l didn't get your name) who was on duty from 3pm Friday 30th September, who went over and above to make sure we had all of the information that we needed and saw that our stay there was extra special. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend a stay there.

Fairly standard travelodge experience. Pros, friendly and helpful staff, shower water pressure and temperature was excellent. Fresh towels and bedding in the room when we arrived. Cons, the rooms are quite dated with peeling wall paper and water stains on the ceiling. The carpet had seen better days and was sticky in places. The bed was really uncomfortable and the pillows were awful. The hallway lights were so bright they shone under the door and light up the whole room at night. There is heating in the rooms but no aircon, so it was very warm even for September. Altogether it was quite an uncomfortable sleeping experience. Breakfast is a chargeable extra which is understandable but why is wifi chargeable. It should be included at any half decent hotel these days. Overall, not a great experience but certainly not the worst. It's fine if you just need a bed for the night but i wouldn't recommend it for longer stays.

Ideal bargain hotel if you are paying a rate of about £30-£50. Bear in mind that if you pay any more you can expect rationed toiletries, minimal power sockets and extremely noisy plumbing. My room had a good view of the bins, no way to hang out the do not disturb sign and a resident spider. Would have been alright at more modest rate.
