Great hotel, central location to where we needed to be and a really good price, the breakfast was brilliant and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and airy too. The only downside was the lack of parking but they do have an agreement with a car park £10 for 24hr parking but it's not made clear until after you check in at the desk.

Sad to post this POOR REVIEW we came to Plymouth last year and stayed in the same hotel and because we had a bad experience with food not being available and short staffed the manager at the time who was very courteous and helpful offered a big discount on food/drinks etc for our next visit. We've stayed 2 nights one more night to go and both evenings ate in the bar ( restaurant closed) Friday night there were 4 things unavailable but what we had was good but very short staffed..so very slow. Saturday night even more things unavailable on the menu and the poor guy who was serving us extremely embarrassed having to confess this again! Despite being run off his feet again he stayed calm and served us the best way he could! The food wasn't as good chips tasted stale and warmed through, chewy!and I'd finished my meal before my husband had received his! The manager on duty was very polite and apologetic and offered discount again which we'd already had.. missing my point that instead of offering compensation something should be done about the whole management of this hotel. If something is not available and knowing that the hotel is fully booked surely it makes sense to either replenish food and keep well stocked and employ more staff? Or don't offer food!! It's meant to be a 4 star hotel. Such a shame as the staff are lovely and rooms comfortable..I HOPE THIS REACHES OUT TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN? We won't be staying here again if it doesn't improve.

We always stay at Leonardos, whenever we visit Plymouth. The rooms are clean and quiet. Breakfast is good too. All the staff are super helpful and professional, especially the restaurant staff. A special thanks to Chris from breakfast times , he was amazing! Even taught my son a few magic tricks . Thank you

Just stayed two nights. Room was clean, ended up in an accessible room. Toilet didn't flush which should have been checked when cleaned and serviced!! Although maintenance did make it work after an hour of trying. Double bed was on castors that moved away from the headboard leaving a gap for the pillow to drop. The room was quiet, hardly any noise. Breakfast was awful, very little choice, hardly any fruit, no juices, cheap stuff from the wholesalers, rubber eggs etc juices and pastries, no milk for cereal they had run out and not restocked, quick enough even though it wasn't busy. Coffee machine not working for at least 20 mins because it needed restocking. Staff were pleasant but lacked any cohesion, and no sign of who was in charge just wandering around when they felt like it. Car park is a Britannia owned and run, they were just installing new cameras for the ANPR but not repairing the lift, lighting is poor and there was a homeless man who was using one of the bays for his tent. No security cameras so not great. Don't bother with breakfast walk 10 mins and you'll find better places and great places for evening meals too. The only good side was it is very close to Drakes Circus shopping and the Barbican. Typical chain hotel, trying to run it on the cheap.

Rooms were comfy, bar was OK but (quite expensive) and breakfast was tasty. They were a little slow in getting replacement breakfast buffet items out (fried eggs and mushrooms) when I was there. But otherwise a very good value stay.

Great location but arrived and was in the lobby. Noticed lots of nursing staff and sick patients in the lobby. Asked receptionist what was going on. We were told nothing to worry about. Only to find out a number of floors on the hotel were rented to the nhs. I have no problem with this but being lied to wasn’t nice. There was no cleaning protocol. Everyone had the same use of the lifts etc. for all I know I could have been putting sick patients at risk.

Stayed for a work Christmas party out. The hotel is beautiful, and our rooms were stunning. Very comfortable and spacious. Will definitely be staying again. It's also right by the shops and restaurants so plenty to do.

I understand this is a "budget" Hotel but basin was cracked and basin tap loose. We were unable to lower the room temperature below 19c which was simply too hot for sleeping. To be fair plenty of hot water and cleanliness was good. Hotel is right of the edge of the city centre but road is busy throughout the night. Upon checkout, was told nothing extra to pay but not asked how the room/stay was or whether there were any issues. A bit disappointed.

We were accommodated in a twin room with a single bed and a double bed. Everything was up to expectations for a 4-star hotel, cleanliness, spotless sheets and towels, friendly staff, ready to help if you needed it. The hotel is very well located, next to Drake Circus, right in the center, and a quarter of an hour's walk from the train station. Although we are not used to an English type breakfast, it was quite good and varied. I wish we had more fresh vegetables and salad for breakfast! Online check-out was great!
