Please read before shopping at Sofa Time!! My partner and I visited Sofa Time at the start of September after being disappointed with a previous sofa from DFS. Kerry was our sales assistant and we explained the issues we’d had before and that we urgently needed a new sofa. Kerry sold us a 3-seater and a 2-seater assuring us that delivery would be between mid to late October, possibly even early October. We made it clear that we were only willing to wait up to a month and she confirmed that would be no problem. Weeks went by with no updates so in the last week of October I rang Sofa Time myself to ask for an update. Kerry then told me that the sofa wouldn’t arrive until mid to late November over a month later than promised. She also said that maybe the 2-seater would arrive at the end of October. There had been no attempt to contact us about this delay and if I hadn’t rang we would have had no idea. We were told the 2-seater would arrive at the end of October and that delivery was already booked for a Friday. However after trying to cancel the order (since this was far longer than agreed) my partner received rude and unprofessional customer service from Simon who told us the order could not be cancelled and that we’d just have to wait until mid or late November. I also emailed Sofa Time to cancel but received a call from Nuala who was again unhelpful and dismissive insisting that we couldn’t cancel the order. We had been promised an October delivery not a November one. If we were told about the delay we would never have placed the order. After being forced to accept half the order and wait another month for the rest I rang on the day the partial delivery was meant to arrive — only to be told it hadn’t even come in. They had booked a delivery for a product they didn’t have. At that point Sofa Time finally cancelled our order but only because they messed up the delivery. When I went in to collect our refund the manager Joe didn’t even apologise for the appalling service we’d received. I would not recommend Sofa Time to anyone. The customer service was dishonest, unprofessional, rude and dismissive throughout we ended up buying a sofa from Comfort Furniture in Mallusk it arrived in just 5 days was cheaper and is even better than the one we had ordered from Sofa Time. Don’t be fooled by Sofa Time’s friendly sales pitch — the service behind it is full of false promises and rude customer service!
Lizzie served us, and she is such a lovely girl. Her customer service was second to none. She was very accommodating, not pushy at all. We felt so at ease, more than happy to give her the sale and actually spent £2000 more than we anticipated. She's a real credit to your company.
Lizzie helped us initially look at new mattresses and then was super helpful when we saw a 2 seater sofa we were interested in purchasing. Process was really easy and we were able to get delivery within a week. All around, great experience.
Me and my partner had a really good experience in SofaTime with sales woman Kerry! She was so so lovely, informative and smart. Spent hours with us answering all our stupid questions and we left with the sofa we wished for! If you ever go to sofa time Please Please ask for Kerry. Stay away from this shop. We bought 3 seater sofa for £1350 and after 3 months of use left side of the sofa collapse. Right is ok but is impossible to sit in the middle as there is difference with levels. Sofatime brough independent specialist who said this is natural settlement and thats it... they will not investigate any further..Stay away from this place, quality is so bad. After I spent £1350 for 3 seater last only for 3 months and shop do not care.
