Please avoid this vets at all costs. I was told my beloved King Charles cavaliers heart condition had deteriorated that much that there was nothing they could do for him, after my husband had taken him to the vets due to landing awkwardly on his leg after jumping up to get food. The vet that saw him was called Dana and she had no empathy whatsoever. She refused to look at his leg and kept telling my husband heβd gone off all legs due to his heart. Long story short after going to Connaught vets, my dog had sprained his leg and had a dislocated knee cap and had been in pain all night as island vets refused to look at his leg and give him any pain relief. Instead, she had given him an injection of ferusomide which is heart medication that he is already on in tablet form and tried to charge us almost Β£200 for ten days worth of tablets for another heart medication. This was without doing any tests or heart scans to see if his condition had worsened. Iβm appalled at the care, or rather lack of that this vets provide. We were told he would be lucky to make it through the night. It has been almost five weeks now since this has happened and he is back to his normal happy self and all blood tests he had have come back clear. To think we could have had him put to sleep is unimaginable as we had discussed it after staying up all night that if they think thatβs best then we would agree. After changing vets, itβs evident how much island vets are money oriented. Please consider going elsewhere. I emailed a complaint and was told I would get a response within 14 days and I have heard nothing since.

Everyone was professional and really patient. My dogβs 15 but after the surgery she was honestly looking like nothing even happened. So grateful they took such good care of her.

After my first visit to the Island veterinary practice it was quite clear that all the staff are a very caring team. Photo enclosed of Cilla who is doing well after her operation.

Really accommodating towards our big dogs who have disliked the vets in the past. From offering us the last appointment, the bigger room, to going through the side door itβs really helped improve their experience. So much so theyβre far happier and much calmer going now.

Friendly staff, small practice. Consult fees were slightly higher than I was used to previously but fine. Not wheelchair accessible and if you use a walker/crutches etc I'd take someone with you to help up the steps and to open door

The worst vets I've ever been to. One Vet is completely unprofessional, no communication or customer service skills. She's abusive & vile. So I dread to think what she's like to poor defenseless animals. All about the money not Care. DO NOT USE!! If I'd been made aware of their bad reputation I'd of gone elsewhere in the first place.

The staff were friendly and my cat was looked after well. I'd happily use these guys again. They also have a MASSIVE sign with the word "Vets" on the side of the road so it's perfectly easy to find the entrance!
