I visited this venue on New Year’s Eve with a group of friends and had a fantastic experience. We ordered food to start, and the service was excellent. Despite how busy the venue was due to the New Year celebrations, our food arrived very quickly, which was impressive. The venue itself is lovely, and all of the staff were extremely attentive. After our meal, we were moved to a table in the bar area. It was incredibly busy, but the bar staff were doing their absolute best to ensure everyone was served as quickly as possible. I would definitely recommend this pub and will certainly be returning with friends and family in the new year.

Really extensive menu different to all your usual chains. Cosy pub with lots of sections to sit in so it feels quiet even when it's busy. All our meals were spot on - starters, mains and desserts. All cooked to perfection and super tasty. Really can't fault anything at all. Service was also excellent

booked in on the way up last minute as did not know what time I would arrive, Receptionist on the phone was excellent and answered all my questions. Arrived and was greated with a nice smile and was shown the room which was comfortable and clean, Went down and enjoyed a lovely duck breast with rice and a nice pint. Location is great just off the motorway . Totally diamond of a find would highly recommend this as a stop over.

We had a meal in the restaurant, so can’t comment on the rooms. First impressions were of a beautiful old building, with decor in keeping with the age of the property. There was a good choice of dishes on the menu. The food was very good, however the service was poor! We ordered 2 drinks…only 1 arrived at the table, and we had to ask again! After the main course, we were NOT offered any desserts or coffee, needless to say, no tip was left. Come on Littleton, you can do so much better than this!!

Wonderful place for a meal with friends. Staff and service all first class, with a fabulous atmosphere. Premises are very clean, well presented, with a rustic charm and quirky features. Menu is excellent, and whether you are there for lunch or dinner, it is first class and good value for money. Good selection of beer, which is pleasing to see these days. Would definitely recommend The Littleton Arms. We shall be returning soon .

Visited with two children and service was efficient but not exactly welcoming or helpful. The waiting staff were too quick to move on and failed to ask if we wanted any sauces, more drinks etc. It certainly felt that we were an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. The restaurant was not busy either. Our children were wel behaved, stayed at the table and had plenty of things we brought with us to entertain them so they were not being disruptive to other guests. We will try again and hope for a better experience next time.

We didn’t stay, but just popped in for lunch, food was ok, staff were ok but the pub was freezing and all radiators were cold. Mentioned to staff who said fire was lit in the bar, no where near where we had been sat. We ate in coats, 3 stars is generous I think.

I booked a table for a relatively early sitting. The pub/restaurant is absolutely beautiful. I live in Penkridge and have driven past many times meaning to try it. We were a party of 2 and were greeted with a welcoming smile and led to the table. Drinks were ordered and came promptly. Beautiful house red wine! We then ordered and the food was delivered within what seemed like minutes by yet another wonderful member of staff with genuine, warm smiles. The food was plentiful and so very delicious! We were then checked on by another, younger member of staff, again with a genuine warmth! All in all our experience was second to none! What an absolute gem on our doorstep. Very reasonably priced and the service was exemplary! We will be back, again and again. I fear for my waistline.

Nice little B &B. Good beer, didn't try the food. The rooms felt slightly wonky but I guess it's an old building. Was quite a trek from downstairs to the room. Our room had a very loud mechanical noise every 20 minutes through the night so wasn't a great sleep and I hope they sort that out, but we were the only ones in our party to hear it so must have been next to our room whatever it was making the noise.
