It was my first time staying overnight in Plymouth. I reviewed prices and found this location to be the best offering. The twin room was very comfortable and totally clean. The shower room and toilet were without any flaws. Fresh linen and towels, t.v and coffee and tea making all present and ideal. My particular room was to the rear of the building and so was very quiet. My awareness of other guests overnight was nil. I slept well although the good matress was a little firm for me. When l visit Plymouth again, this will be my first choice. It was easy to drive into the centre of the city from this location.

Excellent place to stay, 10min walk to main entrance of hospital. Very clean comfortable room. A pub situated in the same car park, easy for some where close to eat and relax. Over all a good location when visiting Derriford hospital. Staff were friendly.

This was our first time staying with Travelodge and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff at this place are really nice, helpful and friendly. The room was clean and perfect for our stay. The only negative was a small amount of black mould at the bottom of the shower. That said, I would stay again and I would recommend this place, budget friendly and lovely staff.

Standard Travelodge. Basic and cheap. Good for a night's sleep. Comfortable bed and sufficient shower. Nice touch with the bottle opener on the end of the table. Toilet didn't flush properly but I informed the staff who were very helpful and said they would get it fixed. Slightly put off by the lack of lock on the inside of the door to our room meaning you can't dead lock it yourself at night. Also be aware of the raised island on your way into the car park. We arrived in the dark and it's quite hard to see. It looks like it had a lit bollard on it at some point but it appears someone may have wiped it out and just a bumpy lot of kerbs remain.

**4-Star Hotel Review** We were warmly greeted by the friendly staff at the beautifully presented reception, which set a great tone for our family’s two-night stay. However, when we got to our room, we were a bit disheartened to find urine stains on the toilet seat that we had to clean ourselves, and the bins in both the bedroom and bathroom hadn’t been emptied. It wasn’t a huge issue, but for the price we paid, we hoped for a more polished first impression. On a brighter note, we absolutely loved the charm of the physical keys for the bedroom doors—such a nostalgic, old-school touch! What keeps me from giving a 5-star review is an uncomfortable experience on our checkout day. Around 10:00 AM, despite checkout being at 12:00 PM, a cleaner walked in while we were still getting dressed, some of us undressed, including our children. It was an awkward moment, and to our surprise, another staff member entered 20 minutes later. This left us feeling rushed and unsettled, especially since we were already exhausted from helping a family member move the day before. While we did receive a sincere verbal apology as we left, it couldn’t fully ease the discomfort of those moments. Overall, the beds were comfortable, and the hotel was reasonably clean, making our stay pleasant despite these hiccups. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality but hope for a smoother experience next time.

Chose to stay in here as it was closest to hospital where I had to attend events. Rooms are very basic. Pro is the comfortable bed and location. Everything was functional. However, there was no double lock, meaning anyone who has key can open the door. Kind of scary as a solo female traveller. If you get a room facing the main road, the cars are extremely loud, even if you close the door.

Poor for the price... Pros: Bed was clean and comfortable enough but basic. Room was warm enough. Water ran. TV worked. Friendly receptionist and staff. Cons: Price. Smoking bins by entrance means you have to walk through smokers and listen to them all night. Beside table fell off wall and iPad and phone fell onto hard floor. No plug sockets near bed just empty holes in walls. The kettle was tiny and broken. The sink was blocked. Shower water was very weak. The floor was covered in Stains. Behind and the back of TV was very dirty. Paint had been spilt on furniture. Some areas of room were visibly dusty. The tea and bathroom extras were beyond basic. Empty soap dispenser. Inadequate bin so had to supply my own. Low ceilings. Noisy people outside window and in hallway at all hours banging doors. Little ventilation. Second bed was a basic pop up which moved across the floor. Picture above bed was too low so you hit your head if you sat up. Only 2 pillows in double bed :( Someone coughing outside the door at 230am..very creepy. Tired brown furniture from decades past. A view of a car park. It was basic , over priced but safe and adequate. There are other cheaper and as average hotels near by. Don't go here if you're expecting anything beyond functional.

This is a standard travel lodge, a little tired but clean and tidy. What makes it special is the people. The ladies on reception couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. We used this as a base to travel out to see family, every time we went to reception they were lovely.

Very nice hotel, a bit out of town but good pub for meals next door. Very helpful staff. Would go there again next time.
