Easy clear instructions from hosts to get keys, all worked very well. Plenty of free on street parking. All areas in house clean and tidy and well presented. Lovely lounge with books and board games and a pool table in opposite room. Stayed in the twin room, surprisingly spacious for a 'smaller' room and beds were comfortable. Ensuite a decent size too and clean. Area is residential so nice and quiet so had a good night sleep. Nice additions to hospitality tray - kitkat and hot chocolate as well as a good choice of teas. Breakfast room was a lovely and huge, wasn't expecting that! Standard breakfast choices but we just went with the full English, which was excellent! Perfectly cooked and good quality ingredients. Thanks to lovely lady Savy, who cooked our breakfast and for greeting us so warmly and with a happy smile! If you visiting Torpoint I definitely recommend Cambridge House.

You know what, it might be a teeny bit dated, only a tiny bit though, but everything else was excellent. Lovely staff, good breakfast, clean hotel, free street parking that was always available, just a couple of mins from the ferry and shops, big rooms in the Hussey Suite and just a lovely feel about the place.

Excellent, easy stay right from start of booking in online, follow up instructions. I'm vegan and was catered for in a lovely cooked breakfast by Pascal who supplied excellent service. Well worth a visit if your in or visiting Torpoint.

Having booked at very short notice, I was given very good instructions & directions by the kind & accommodating owners. I enjoyed a good night's sleep in a spacious room intended for 3 persons (ensuite). A multitude of delicious breakfast options were on offer... served with a smile. Well worth an unexpected (in my case) visit across The Tamar. Recommended.

Excellent value Guest House. Rooms were clean and furniture modern. Beds were really comfortable. Tea tray full and well stocked..kettle lid wouldn't shut but we worked around that. Individual toiletries a lovely surprise. Breakfast was super. Bit of a wait first morning but never mind. We were in Torpoint for my Son's wedding and our stay at Cambridge House added to a fabulous weekend.

“Fell Well Short of Expectations!” The staff were really friendly and the duvet weight was excellent, bed also clean. Nice selection of toiletries and tea making items also a nice touch with the couple of bars of chocolate. Quality of channels on the TV was excellent, (shame about the TV). A note greeted me on the door stating to ring a mobile number to be let in! (Staff were up the road). Wasn't offered free parking and so parked on the public highway. The room was so small you had to walk sideways to get past the bed, the windows had no nets which meant either the curtains had to be closed or the terraced houses could see directly in. The walls were so thin, I could hear the kids messing around until just after midnight as well as the adults talking, after a 300 mile trip, this wasn't welcomed. The room was very dated (to say the least). The kettle had to be put on the floor to enable to reach the plug, this eventually went on the other side of the room as it kept sparking in the extension lead on the floor. To fill the kettle up I had to use the mug with water as the sink wasn't much bigger than my hand and the kettle couldn't fit, (nor both my hands for that matter. Hairs all over the bathroom, so much so I didn't use the sink and I kept my trainers on in the bathroom. The toilet roll holder just fell to the left whenever it was touched. The TV was around a 10" which was a shame as the choice of channels was excellent... Needed binoculars to see it though. WiFi wasn't available within the room, (no signal). Plymouth City Centre is actually 3.2 miles via the ferry and not 1 mile as stated, (unless you can fly of course).
