   Worst first tattoo experience – completely unprofessional, stressful, and disappointing. I booked my appointment in March for a tattoo to be done on May 1st, making sure I had plenty of time before my holiday on May 23rd. Paid my deposit with no issues and was assigned Charlotte. The problems started just days before my appointment. On April 29th, she messaged asking to change the time. I was understanding and agreed. Then on the morning of May 1st (appointment day), I got a cancellation text at 8 AM, just an hour before the appointment. She rearranged me for the next day. Fine, again I stayed patient. May 2nd: Another cancellation attempt. This time she claimed she was heading to hospital because her eyes were “blurry” around 7:30 AM, but then by 10:30 AM she was suddenly fine and could tattoo me after all? Very unprofessional and inconsistent. During the session, things got worse. The stencil didn’t match my reference image at all. When I questioned it, she shrugged it off saying, “We’re not meant to copy images.” For a first-timer, I didn’t want to cause a scene, but the more she worked, the more obvious the mistakes became. The snake tattoo head looked wrong, the back tattoo was off-centre, and overall it didn’t resemble what I asked for. I raised my concerns multiple times during the session – she even brought over other staff to reassure me, but the issues were clear. Despite all this, I still paid full price, trusting her word that she’d fix it for free later. She promised me a free cover-up and said she’d send a mock-up drawing soon. That never happened. By May 13th, I still hadn’t heard anything. I chased her and she cancelled again, telling me the only date she could offer was after my holiday, even though this was her mistake to fix. When I asked for a refund so I could get it corrected elsewhere, she refused. I asked if another artist could fix it, she said only if I paid more. The attitude I received was completely unacceptable – at one point she even said: “Tattoos are for life, there’s plenty of time to sort it out.” As if I was being unreasonable for wanting a fix before my holiday when she was the one who messed it up in the first place! To make things worse, she started editing previous messages and making the conversation confrontational. What should have been an exciting first tattoo turned into weeks of stress, anxiety, and upset. I was left going to Marbella with a tattoo I felt embarrassed to show. Thankfully, Charlotte finally agrees with another artist in the studio fixing her mistake but her answer “she will pay them”. Hannah from the studio saved me. She took me in last minute, was professional and kind, listened to my concerns, and completely redesigned the tattoo into something I now love. Overall: Charlotte’s behaviour was unprofessional, her communication was poor, and the customer care was nonexistent once there was an issue. The way she handled the whole situation was dismissive and careless. My star goes out to Hannah! I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone. If you care about your skin, your time, and your money… do your research and avoid going through what I did.
