Take care when parking here. The maximum stay period has been reduced to 45 minutes. There are enforcement cameras and Horizon Parking sends out PCNs. The charge is £70 (reduced to £40 if you pay up quickly). Really annoying as the changes are not well publicised and receiving the PCN is a nasty shock, accompanied by all the usual threats.
I had a fantastic experience with Laura at the Warlingham COOP! She was incredibly polite and genuinely went above and beyond to assist me. Ordered 7 of these as they were 1.78 for 4 they sent individually charging me 9.72 it’s a joke. They try to take your money don’t know why amazing does business with them. Clearly displays 4 and who the hell will pay for just a can at 1.78 pounds making it more expensive then a bottle of fizz or coke!
I go there for my meal deals and other items when needed about 3 days a week. Staff are always nice and the store is clean. Only small issue is that when I need assistance at the self service the staff can be slow to help. At the same time there’s only a couple stuff out front usually. Except the one small issue it’s perfectly good.
Annoying that they cancel uber eat delivery's all the time/ close early.
Things have changed in this shop , only for the worse I'm afraid. Just been in this morning to pick up my daily needs and the lady serving (wearing an earpiece) couldn't be bothered to say good morning or even a mere thankyou . My change was dropped with my goods no till receipt either was I asked if I would like one one. HOW RUDE !
Very rude customer service. Usually I don't give negative reviews, but I want the management at co-op to improve. There was an offer of co op family apples for £1, and they placed the offer label just below another brand of apples, and this is sure enough to confuse anyone. In fact, the apples on offer are nowhere in that rack (and not even an empty basket to indicate they have run out of stock) When I asked, the lady was so rude and said, if it is not there, it is not there. I said, if you don't have the apples, why do you confuse people and mis sell ? It is not a question of a few pennies, it is more of an attitude of the stuff.
Always clean and tidy, although not always really well stocked (especially fresh fruit and veg). There is a car park with free parking for 2 hours. DO NOT park directly out the front - there is a raised bit which is classed as a 'pedestrianised area'! No signs, most don't realise and park there, and it's not obvious, but the "lovely" wardens have been ticketing unsuspecting cars.
This is a cosy Co-Op with a good range of products. You have the choice of being served by a person or self serve, which is handy when you are in a rush. It has the added benefit of housing an excellent Post Office at the back of the store. The Post Office section also offers a second hand book selection. The store provides ample parking (including disabled bays), which is an additional bonus. Outside a cash point is available. All in all a great little store set amongst other shops in the Hamsey Green parade.
Good local store with plenty of stock and a good sized free car park for shoppers. Ideal for groceries and also has a post office and small charity shop with honesty box. I was in there this morning and the shop was full of students from the local senior school and not one was wearing a mandatory face covering!
