βββββ Had a really excellent experience at John Lewis in Westfield Stratford today. We were assisted by a lady named Alison, who helped us with the pushchairs, and I honestly cannot praise her enough. She was exceptionally kind, polite, patient, and highly competent. Her calm and professional manner made the whole experience smooth and stress-free, and she genuinely went out of her way to help us. Customer service like this really stands out. Extremely well done, Alison, and thank you for such outstanding service. John Lewis is fortunate to have you.

We came for a coffee and cake two weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised with how good the PTE looked in Stratford. The partners making the fresh coffee were doing a great job considering the queue of eager customers. And the place looked well maintained. It was very busy and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. As we were leaving I did notice one partner preventing customers entering the cafe and a queue built up even though there were tables free. Good to see the queue being managed though. Would return in future.

Generally the store is OK but the restaurant on the top floor is not. There was no queue for the restaurant. There were lots of customers sat at the tables and there were quite a few tables free but dirty. When we purchased our items, we looked for a free table. A lot of the tables (not the long table) had dirty plates/cup etc the floor was also dirty. The photo I have uploaded where there is food on the floor, it wasn't ours. I used a stool to cover over this mess as we sat at this table as there was no other option for a table of 3 free. It really was just disgusting. The long tables were free but not many people wanted to sit there, I guess no one wants be centre of attention in the open. People mainly sat at the smaller tables, which is what we wanted. We sat near the till and watched new customers encounter the same problem as we did. When we took some metal spoons to use, we noticed they were so dirty, they had not been cleaned properly. Due to this and the lack of cleanliness in the restaurant, I decided to speak to the cashier. The answer I received was, they were short staffed and she requested me to complain on the first floor at customer services, which is what I did. We went along to the first floor and spoke to a man who said he will pass on my complaint to the manager the next day, when he was in. Who knows if this was passed on and actioned. It was very disappointing that there seemed to be enough catering staff on the counter areas but not enough staff on the floor to clear up. It doesn't make any sense. I wanted to take more photos but there were people sitting at the tables nearby and I didn't want to invade their privacy.

Sunday 12 Oct Furniture dept was in a poor state today. There is a clear lack of passion in this dept. The furniture was poorly positioned and dressed. It looked more like a discount store then a store selling premium furniture. To top it off, a young βpartnerβ was sitting at the desk where the sofas are just browsing her mobile phone without a care in the world. No interaction with us or other browsing customers. And it was only around 1pm. A manager needs to take charge of this dept. Pictures added below. May 2025. Trying to stay positive about βPlace To Eatβ but they give reasons not to. We often visit to enjoy the Tea and scones offer but noticed this weekend that an 11% increase has been applied. This is no longer appealing. Sat 30 Nov We entered and left βPlace To Eatβ immediately on this occasion due to the long queues. Appreciate itβs a Saturday and therefore busier than expected. But it would really help to have at least two βpartnersβ working on the coffee counter. Poor lady was on her own and struggling. Previously: Clearing tables has been abandoned today. Unsightly. JL is better than this.

We booked a nursery consultation today with William and he was approachable and extremely helpful. He understood my needs and offered solutions which would fit in with our lives. William also helped us think of things we had completely forgotten about and wasn't trying to sell the most 'expensive' item either. He followed up within an hour and had emailed across all of the items we had discussed and I left today feeling calmer and more prepared. I will also be contacting HO because of the amazing level of customer service I received. Thank you again.

Lovely department store with a broad selection of items. Displays are always gorgeous and you could honestly spend a whole day shopping in here because it's massive! There's nice loos and there's lifts too. You can come in via the side entrance if you want to avoid walking through the Westfield Shopping Centre. Great place for shopping for bargains on electronics as the store has lots of cabinets with reduced/returned items at a good price.

John Lewis is gearing up for the Christmas period. The store has been well planned and the designers have done a good job. Prices are at the higher end compared with other stores but quality is very good. Always enjoy walking through the store and looking around.

A complete store for household and individual requirement. Though price is quite high as compare to other competitors. But quality of products attracts buyers to get their requirements fulfilled by the famous brand. They Need to work on kitchen items , specially crockery.
