If you're looking for a cattery, look no further. Samfio is the place to go!. Sue, Michelle and Lisa are caring and very attentive. The cat's have plenty of room, fed well, and have heated beds! It's clean and well maintained.
Always brilliant service from Samfio. Our two domestics spend there holidays there a few times a year, when we are away. They always come back relaxed and chipper. Big thanks to the Samfio team who take such good care of them while we are away, meaning we have one less thing to worry about when we’re travelling
I have nothing but praise for Samfio. I boarded our 2 cats Lottie and Stanley for 2 and a half weeks while we went on our honeymoon and to say I was nervous was an understatement! They are my world and I wanted to find somewhere perfect for them as I've never boarded them before. From the start, I was put at ease and was given regular updates while we were away. When I picked them up, they had so much fun they didn't want to come home! Honestly! They were both so well looked after and were really healthy and happy. Samfio even bought Stanley the bengal some ping pong balls for him to play with! I wouldn't board them anywhere else now and if anyone else is apprehensive about boarding their cats like I was, trust the amazing ladies at Samfio because they are just fantastic! Thank you so much ladies, you are angels xx
My two cats stayed twice in 2022 in Sept and Dec. They have never stayed in a cattery before and I was concerned but I need not have been! Samfio love cats even more than the owners. They have heated pods in the winter and have a huge sleeping pod to reside to. My two cats don't get along all the time but they had enough space to be together but far enough apart if they needed to be. The pods are extremely clean and well maintained. The ladies at Samfio couldn't be more helpful, accomodating and supportive. Even when my house move delayed the cats coming back 3 days late, they totally understand. If they can help, they will. I honestly wouldn't put Minnie and Milo anywhere else! Highly recommended!
I have been taking my cat to Samfio for years. Sue is absolutely dedicated to making sure that your cat is safe & well. Very clean, fabulous new cages with heated private sleeping boxes I also really like the wild life pond for the cats to watch and the quiet , calm location . Wouldn’t go anywhere else
Lovely, caring people who really know how to welcome and care for your cat. They go the extra mile - sent pics of our cats for my son whilst we were away. Great premises lovely, airy and very clean
Samfio is a warm and welcoming cattery where the people there clearly love what they do. Every aspect from initially booking dates, extending dates, dropping off the cats and collection was so streamlined and filled with genuine interest and care. Monty and Esme enjoyed their time at Samfio and came back happy and relaxed, which was a pleasant surprise, as we thought they wouldn’t be talking to us! Can’t recommend this Cattery and the caring ladies who run it enough.
Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience here and would recommend avoiding Samfio. When dropping off our cat, we asked Samfio whether it would be possible to come and collect our cat in the evening as we would be coming straight from the airport, once we had landed. We were given their assurances that somebody would be present for us to collect our cat in the evening and agreed a time of around 9pm – 9:30pm. We drove almost an hour to the cattery and when we arrived, the gates were locked. We called Samfio advising them of our arrangement. The lady we spoke to was extremely rude, argumentative, dictatorial, and very unpleasant. We were accused of lying. We were told it was her sister who we spoke to when dropping off our cat and that she would never agree to collection in the evening. We completely appreciate sometimes there is miscommunication and that we may have been incorrectly advised, however, to be shouted at, accused of lying and persistently spoken to in such a rude manner was very upsetting. This unpleasant attitude continued throughout the duration of the call. After asking very politely whether Samfio could honour the original agreement to collect our cat in the evening (given we had driven almost an hour and were outside the cattery) they did kindly allow us to do this. However, we were then accused of continuously and repeatedly calling her (which was not the case at all) and refusing to leave the premises (which again was completely untrue and it was extremely disappointing to be accused of this). The women’s attitude remained quite simply disgusting and rude when the gates were opened for us. We were spoken to in such a rude tone and manner, despite the fact we were being completely courteous and polite throughout. We also noticed that once we collected our cat and got home, he was not only visibly thinner but felt much lighter/had lost a lot of weight. He was moaning for food as soon as we got home and ate like we have never seen before. This is also very concerning as it appears he was not fed properly. He should not be coming home starving and desperate for food. Overall, we would unfortunately strongly recommend avoiding Samfio. We have never been spoken to so rudely in our lives, especially given we were completely pleasant and polite.
