   ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Popped in and it did not disappoint. Proper village pub done right. Warm welcome, great atmosphere and a cracking selection behind the bar. The place has that lovely balance of being relaxed and friendly but still buzzing, the sort of pub you walk into and instantly feel comfortable. Staff were spot on, service was quick and nothing was too much trouble. Exactly how a local pub should be. We’ll definitely be back.

   Cant say anything about the hotel as I haven’t been. Service is fine at the pub, but the pool table charged my card twice for one game, and in a pint of Moretti the glass was dirty and there was stuff floating at the bottom of the beer. That is not very good when a pint is so expensive here. The music is good.

   Went to visit recently the new landlord was really friendly, lady behind the bar was great. Place looked really clean and inviting. Was made a fuss of when we arrived and made us feel really welcome. Great priced drinks. Highly recommend. We will be back!

   We ventured in for the first time and were pleasantly surprised to see fresh modern decor and receive a very warm welcome from the man behind the bar . Place was clean , served quickly with affordable pricing . Polite and friendly bar person serving what we craved most which was a positive atmosphere . We will be returning .

   Excellent pub. Good beer in comfortable surroundings. Landlord is very welcoming - even allowing us to eat takeaway food in the bar, and in the spacious beer garden. This was due to the recent takeover not having their food service quite ready. Once the food is added, The Crown will be a perfect spot!

   Visited the pub many times, always a good atmosphere. Stayed overnight at New Year and the room was lovely, clean and spacious with comfortable hotel standard bed and bedding. James and Hayley are fantastic friendly hosts whether you’re just popping in for a drink or staying over. Would definitely recommend

   Room was light and airy. Family room with a double & single bed. Comfortable and dean with fresh towels. Tea & coffee making facilities and water in the mini fridge. No meals but a good selection of places to eat. The owner and staff were welcoming and friendly as were the customers which made my stay enjoyable. The only downside was the bathroom which could do with updating. Good bus service round the corner for Newark and Nottingham. Southwell minster cathedral just round the corner is worth a visit. Good base for exploring..
