Incident time and date: 08:20 04/10/2023 I use this petrol station regularly on my motorcycle as it is on my commuting route and I have always found the service to be good and the staff speedy and helpful. However I normally use it on the way home from work, but today I needed to fill up on the way to work at around 08:20. On this occasion I was very disappointed with the service as the member of staff on the till refused to authorise the pump and signalled to me from inside the shop for me to remove my helmet. I will not remove my helmet is it is discriminatory and there is nowhere safe to leave it while I fill up. My helmet cost nearly £1k and can be damaged by petrol and oil, so the safest place for it is on my head where it belongs. I had to go into the shop and ask what the problem was and the lady on the till was very rude, she basically accused me of being a criminal, she also said motorcycles don’t have number plates which is extremely ignorant for someone who works in a petrol station. I explained why (as above) I was not prepared to remove my helmet and she said, ‘well you won’t be getting any petrol then’ and laughed in a condescending way. Another lady came out (I think she was a team leader) and tried to tell me it was ‘policy’ at which I pointed out that I fill up regularly and it has never happened before, so it seems just like this one person on the till is discriminating against motorcyclists. I advised her that I use the garage regularly and she should not accuse innocent Customers of being criminals just because they ride a motorcycle, I told her I am a 59 year old NHS worker and I’m just trying to get to work, she then agreed to authorise the pump. I filled up and went back in to pay and the lady on the till waved me away to the other lady and said ‘she’s dealing with you’ in a sneering manner. Quite frankly the lady on the till is not an asset to your team and needs some Customer service training, I will not be using this petrol station in the future unless I receive an apology for the inconvenience and embarrassment this caused me and the disgraceful way I was spoken to and treated by your staff. I have raised a complaint on the Coop website and emailed your CEO.

Disappointed that this states 24 hours but serves only at the night pay section. I was expecting it to be walk in like the others. However I did manage to get what I was after on Christmas Eve.

Convenient store and fuel stop. Fuel not necessarily the cheapest but one does get points with Texaco card (1 point for every pound spent, with 500 points exchangeable for a £5 voucher). Gets crowded and almost impossible to fill up on Saturday mornings. Shop is handy for picking up a pint of milk or beer on the way home from work although it's obviously not as cheap as the supermarket.
