   The retreat is in an amazing spot , you must beable to drive as no public transport, taxis available sometimes , the retreat as a big field and park that our daughter loved ,one thing it dose need is a little shop as shops are miles away . Maybe a reception to greet holiday makers , our lodge was the seashells the 1st on the right as you enter, it wasn't very clean and we spent a day cleaning it as it was covered in pet hairs , door handles hanging off ,with moldy apple cores and a nest if dead woodlouse. It had a lovely garden and a place to bbq after cleaning it was a lovely place ,some beautiful places to walk to ,the Soar Mill cove Hotel and further down the Soar Mill cove the trails are beautiful on the cliffs

   We stayed in Midships Lodge no.15. This is a beautiful holiday home with all the amenities you would need for a fun family get away in The South Hams. We are regular visitors to the area and have rented all sorts of properties in the past, but this one really hits the mark. We have a grown up family but the three bedrooms , two bathrooms work well for a comfortable stay. The big open plan living space and terrace make for a great social space and is beautifully appointed. There is a bbq which we cooked our fresh mackerel on that we caught that day (yes I am showing off). Jo, the owner, is really friendly and helpful going the extra mile to help with local advice and access to amenities. The location is great for local beaches and access to Salcombe, Hope Cove and the surrounding villages. All in all, we will not be looking any further for future stays and look forward to our next visit.

   Fantastic, clean lodges in this quiet and peaceful area. 15 mins walk to the mill cove. This gives access to coastal walks that are highly recommended. A great, peaceful break.

   These modern lodges are furnished beautifully and cleaned and maintained to the highest standard. Jane the manager is friendly and helpful with any problems we had. Parking is easy next to the chalet,and views from this spacious site are lovely It would have been good to know on the website the opening times of the shop and pizza hut.

   We stayed at No 15, Midships lodge. Privately owned. Absolutely beautiful lodge, spacious, clean, tidy and really well equipped for a family holiday. Owner Jo is a perfect host. We have stayed a number of times now and highly recommended.

   Just had a fabulous week here, it was our first visit to Salcombe and certainly not our last. The retreat is a fabulous spot extremely well manicured and a lovely safe feel. Thankyou we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
