Absolutely wonderful experience at Brightham House. The hosts have lovingly curated a glorious home from home for their guests with a keen eye for interior design and attention to detail. Their care for their craft really shows. The breakfasts are the best I've ever had in a B&B, and they were kind and skilled enough to cater to food intolerances.

A big you to Alistair and Scott for being such excellent hosts. My wife and I had such a lovely time, these last few days. We were made to feel welcome immediately as soon as we arrived, as we sat in the garden chatting to Alistair who served us with drinks and Scott’s home-made scones. The breakfasts were to die for. Over the years, through both my work and leisure I have stayed at hundreds of places and I can safely say, no breakfast comes close both to the originality and taste of your breakfasts. Both Alison and I loved the style and design of Brightham House, and it felt that nothing was overlooked. So much attention to detail and we would be happy to recommend staying to any of our friends. They both deserve massive credit for the wonderful place they have created. Tony and Alison from Upnor (Rochester)

Brightham House Boutique B&B is a place where you can stay that will be beyond your expectations! You’ll immediately relax in its beautiful surroundings and then your holiday begins. It’s the most gorgeous house with incredible decor, fabulous quirky twists and a great atmosphere. It is spotlessly clean (and we’re fussy), serves incredible food and is situated in the ideal location. Overall, it’s…perfection! All bedrooms are styled individually and are beautiful. The beds are really comfortable, everything you need is provided and more. It’s a pleasure just to be in your room. The bright, relaxing lounge leads through to the Orangery, again beautifully styled, where you relax whilst sipping your morning beverage as you choose from the incredible breakfast menu. All the reviews say the breakfasts are amazing and they absolutely are! There’s a huge choice, everything is presented beautifully, arrives piping hot and tastes delicious. Tea and coffee top ups are also plentiful. You look out onto the beautifully designed, peaceful garden where you can also have your breakfast in its sheltered surroundings. Just beyond the lounge is a lovely honesty bar area with everything you could want. The village is lovely, as are all the local walks, beaches and other towns which are all close by, making it the location perfect. This year is our 4th stay. Each time we have booked for the Italian evening which is absolutely a must. What a fantastic experience with delicious food, service and atmosphere. The evening is perfection. I could keep writing but maybe I should stop. I do need time to mention Alister and Scott…welcoming, helpful and so friendly. Just such lovely, chilled guys. They are full of ideas and help when you’re planning your day! Well done A & S, Brightham House is an amazing, fantastic Boutique B&B in every way. Of course I’m not going to forget the icing on this delicious cake, little Lola and Poppy of course!

Another fantastic stay at Brightham house- Its lovely to return to somewhere that feels home from home and to a warm welcome. Outstanding breakfasts and service as always, with so many personal touches and such attention to detail- We particularly love the honesty bar for a nightcap and a board game. Super comfortable beds, crisp bedsheets and ritual products we really value! We were sad not be staying on the Thursday for the iconic Italian night. I can highly recommend this- I would choose to stay here over any “hotel” thanks again we are looking forward to seeing you later in the year x

We stayed at Brightham House for 4 nights around the August Bank Holiday weekend earlier this year and we could not have had a better stay. The attention to detail of everything from the hugely impressive breakfasts to the gorgeous garden and amazing rooms was second to none. Alistair & Scott are both extremely accommodating, friendly and very knowledgable. We quizzed them several times about places in the area we were looking at visiting and their knowledge including the best routes to follow and best places to dine really made a difference. We also enjoyed our day trying out the E-Bikes, they were a great way to explore the area and another imaginative idea that adds to the appeal of Brightham. We will definitely be going back in 2023, one of the best breaks we’ve ever stayed in. We couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Can not fault Brightham House! A truly amazing place! Full of charm and charisma and passion to help you with your stay! Both Alistair and Scott go above and beyond to accommodate for your stay! I was staying there for a very personal reason! Which they helped a great deal after the loss of my fiancee!

From the moment we arrived at Brightham House B&B, we felt right at home. Scott & Alistair served us delicious Devon cream teas on arrival, and each of them took excellent care of us for the duration of our stay. Each room in this B&B is thoughtfully and eclectically appointed with fascinating works of art and trinkets. As an added bonus, their two dogs are absolute sweethearts. You will not want to leave this wonderful place!

We stayed at the fantastic Brightham House three weeks ago for five nights. We cannot praise it enough, wonderful hosts Scott and Alistair were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. The hotel was beautifully decorated using different themes for the guest bedrooms, ours was called Brighton Rocks. Scott and Alistair have worked so hard to ensure a great atmosphere in their hotel. A comfortable lounge, a quirky bar and a tropical themed dining area. As for the garden it was beautifully designed and was a place of tranquility. We cannot praise the hotel enough and have recommended it to our friends and family. We hope to return there ourselves one day. Last but not least I have to mention the most fantastic breakfasts we have ever had. They were incredible and delicious. Thank you so very much for a truly wonderful stay Scott and Alistair.
