An amazing wild camping experience. I took 3 grandchildren and we chose a spot near the river and orchard, perfect. A campfire every day and evening, showers nearby. One great thing is you are not a,lowed to camp less than 50 metres from someone else. We had loads of space, kids loved it, met new friends, swam in the river and explored the hills and fields with walkie talkies to stay in touch, great fun. Make sure you are warm at night, we used rechargeable lighting at night which was perfect for getting sleepy kids tucked up in tents. Breakfast was a choice of a cooked breakfast on the campfire or cereals and then get ready for a lovely day again. Originally booked 3 nights but the children wanted more so we stayed 6 nights. Lovely experience, staff amazing and so helpful, making sure you are okay. Perfect and I am definately going again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This has to be the best wild camping (or camping of any kind) we’ve ever experienced. The site is spacious and well thought out, with toilet and shower blocks scattered around so you can enjoy the outdoors without missing basic comforts. We loved exploring the quarry and ended up parking right next to the river – such a peaceful spot. The off-road trials section was a fantastic bonus too! We honestly haven’t slept this well in ages, and we’re already planning to come back next summer, 100%.

Lovely warm welcome when we arrived. We had free choice to park where we wanted and we were lucky enough to find a spot right next to the river. Shower was warm and spacious, plenty of toilets and a washing up area. Recycling area was available. Perfect first night for our road trip! We would visit again :)

Stayed one night and was lovely stop over. Great by the river and dogs able to run free so they had a great time ! Only downside was the waste by the toilet block overfilled and very smelly. Bags of rubbish left everywhere as not enough waste disposal so took rubbish home . However would book again as relaxed site with lovely areas secluded and open fields.

The best wild camping site I have ever stayed! 200 acres of nature to camp amongst. You can camp next to the river, in the quarry, above the farm with amazing views, green fields, meadows and amongst the orchards. Waking up to the sound of the bird song and river flow is a relaxing start to the day. You're allowed fires and they offer free fire pits and sell wood at only £5 a bucket. The owners are super friendly and really make this wild site. The showers are hot and the toilets clean. You don't even have to book, just rock up and pay and find your own space. They allow tents, car camping, vans, motorhomes and even hammocks. I've stayed at alot of wild camping sites and this is by far the best.

First time wild camping with the family! It was a perfect stay. The facilities were always clean a well maintained. The stream running at the bottom of the farm was perfect for our 13 year old son. We walked through the stream up to our waists, stone skipping and relaxing in the sun. The staff were friendly and helpful! Shops about 10 minutes drive, beaches about 30 minutes drive.

If wild camping is what you’re looking for, this perfect place is for you. The name Bush, fits so well, but it’s so much more than just bush, with the river, streams, lakes, old rock quarry, horses, lambs, dogs and more! I can’t even decide on what my favourite aspect of Bush Wild Camping is to be honest. No mans land riverbank beach is super cool, the quarry is really cool, the wild flower meadows are very cool, infact everywhere is so cool! The ground in some areas can indeed be a bit challenging if you’ve got a small city runner, but my van has been fine taking it slow and manoeuvring around some of the larger ones. Farmer Stuart though was manually filling in pot holes when I was in the nearby field, so this is something they are clearly trying to improve. But.. it’s all part of the wild fun! The family who run the site are very friendly, welcoming and kind. They won’t hesitate to help you, whatever your wishes or needs. They give a nice welcome talk with a handy map and offer handmade recycled fire pits and wood cut/ prepared on the farm too. They also have a wood fire artisan pizza van on Saturday nights from a local couple who make the most delicious pizza, I highly recommend! It really is the warm local experience you want. Overall, I absolutely love Bush Wild Camping with my van and will definitely be back time again, 100%.

Amazing campsite with lovely Owners! We really enjoyed spending our time here and will definitely be returning again! We chose this as finding somewhere that accepts three dogs was very hard and the ones that did got pricey very quickly for a family of four and three dogs. I loved that we were able to pick were we wanted to camp, the toilets and showers very very clean and the owners Sue and Stuart would always stop and have a chat no matter what and would come around at night to see if everyone was okay or if you needed wood for your fires. The camp also has tyre swings and a little river where you can boat, swim or rope swing into the river. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just Come back from a weeks camp here. Beautiful site. Just what's were looking for. Our criteria was, dogs, firepit, cheap and cheerful. We had the added bonus of well behaved dogs being allowed off leads and we're greeted by the farm dogs which delighted my 3yr old. We woke up to horses being exercised and views of sheep. Family size wet rooms with good showers that stay on and hot! Lovely family friendly owners who are developing the site further for next season, I hope they don't go too nuts though as this rural, basic, honest environment is one of the main attractions. Great meadows and orchards to walk through and hideaway from the world in. We went wild swimming in the river and had a throughly wonderful time. We will be back next year. Thank-you very much Susie and Stuart for a great break. Brianna and Nick.
