Stayed maybe four times over the years, this area is very close to my heart because my dad was born here and I spent many holidays in Whitsand bay as a child, after my gran died it was great to find somewhere like this to stay . So quiet and low key, Pam is very laid back and easy going, a basic campsite but with the facilities you need.

Stayed one night whilst walking the coast path. It was worth the walk inland - what a beautiful, peaceful, secluded spot! We had such a warm welcome from Pam and her family, who were very helpful and informative. Granted we were the only ones there (because it was the v end of September), which added to the feeling of serenity, but the site is really lovely with the nicest grassy pitches I've ever seen. The added addition of the camping barn with weather cover, seats and communal microwave, kettle, sink, freezer, etc. was the icing on the cake. The toilet and showers were clean and tidy, had a lovely hot shower. And there is a footpath running alongside the busiest road portion so it's a very pleasant walk to and from. Would highly recommend!

If you want peace and tranquility and the feeling of being away from everything then this is definitely the perfect place for you. Pam and her family are lovely and very helpful. Although it feels miles from everywhere, local amenities are actually very close by including beaches, woodland walks, local pubs/restaurants and Cornish villages. Also children and dog friendly.

This is our second visit six years apart and yet again we have had a delightful experience. The grounds are beautiful and so peaceful ; the facilities are excellent ; Pam was extremely helpful and the large shed/barn is such a brilliant resource in wet weather. We hope to return soon.

I loved it here so much! Pam (owner) is so lovely and welcoming and showed me where everything is and it was a pleasure to meet her. I was then left to my own peaceful little camp. Super quiet and a beautiful location. Had a walk around the woodland and woke up and had breakfast surrounded by beautiful trees. I will be back many time more for sure!!! Highley recommend, true hidden gem!

We were looking for a wedding venue. And a long term outdoor education experience. We didn't get any response to calls or email. This was after a visit and a chat with Olly, who was so enthusiastic at the time. Very disappointed.

Wow! What am absolutely amazing place - Oliver and Pam were fantastic and very accommodating for the party we arranged - we will definitely be back. Site was clean and well equipped and nothing was too much trouble - a hidden gem of a site - thank you so much.

It's a really nice place ! The campsite is spacious and in fully greenery but without humidity. We can use electricity, free shower, free toilet, barbecue, microwave and it's very good ! Also, there is a big shelter and all at a ridiculous price. The owner is very gentle and welcoming. So I recommend this campsite.

One of our all time favourite campsites! Ollie and family are wonderful hosts. This campsite is beautiful offering a choice of places to camp, including in amongst the trees, it's never overcrowded. We held a large party here over a weekend, the facilities are fantastic, camp kitchen, fire pit, well maintained showers and toilets. It's wonderful for children too as there is so much space to play. Within easy drive of some of the most beautiful beaches. Whether you're looking for a great campsite for a holiday or looking to rent somewhere for an event, I couldn't recommend Sconner Down enough.

Fantastic family run campsite in a wonderful hidden corner of Cornwall. We intended to stay a couple of nights but stayed for a week. Oliver the manager can suggest activities for all weathers and tastes which kept us (parents and a two year old) entertained. The site is extremely child and pet friendly too. A real gem.
