As wardens we like to get away for a night and try different surroundings. We booked at 11.30pm Sunday evening for the following day, received an email asking for our arrival time. We replied back asking when the earliest was we could arrive. Fabulous response the following morning to say we can arrive at 2 instead of 3. Lovely When we arrived the reception lady was very nice, helpful and showed us where to go. First impressions of the bedroom was lovely, walked inside bed comfy, towels, hand towels, shampoo and shower gel all on the bed. Tea making facilities all ready. Clean lovely bathroom. View was very nice you could see the ocean and at night all the lights in the distance. We went back and booked for a swim. The staff were fantastic, we had forgotten towels and they kindly gave us a couple for free. The pool was okay, it didn't seem to be heated but not freezing cold. You could see it was near end of season and could do with a bit of a clean however it didn't offend me and we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you. I have absolutely no real negatives just a couple of comments. The outside furniture has seen better days with one of them being broken and mismatched. The kettle which was brilliant being normal size was a little tricky to fill but we used a cup to fill it from the sink. The wardrobe area looked a bit dated. Considering the above none of this spoilt our visit and we would absolutely return again. Thank you all for being great.

Could have been an amazing experience. However: When I first emailed a request for 'one room for one person for tonight' the receptionist responded with an email saying she didn't know what I wanted (?) Then apparently went home! When I arrived to enquire about a bedroom fir the night i got a very frosty response from the manageress who felt afronted that i'd walked in the open door asking for a room when they were infact closed. Her response was 'we're fully booked'. This of course was not at all true. It turned out most bedrooms were actually unoccupied and available. She must have felt sorry for me or something because she reluctantly asked me back inside and when she 'checked' to see if she could find room for me she actually found one ( or a dozen!)!! Once i was allocated a room, i was told it was £80 but when I said no way, it was discounted to £60, which I paid but later discovered the rooms were advertised for £50. The 1st room I was given had no working lights. The 2nd room I was given had a pretty strong amonia type smell, which I initially attributed to very strong washing powder. Given all the issues in getting the room I didn't complain but i was woken by the very strong smell in the night and tracked it to the smell of drainage coming up through the plug holes. Closing the bathroom door and peming the outside door for a while lessened the smell and allowed me back to sleep. The smell was really strong when the bathroom door was opened in the morning. Surely previous occupants must have reported this? The internet write-up says breakfast is included in the roomrate - it is not, infact the cafe does not open at all in the mornings. What was good though was the bed, it was extremely comfortable. The tea and coffee supples were plentiful. The room was clean, warm (with thermostatically controlled heaters), of ample size with an open wardrobe/dressing area. The shower was easy to use, open walk in type, with plenty of hot water, cleaning supplies and towels. Views from the bedrooms are amazing! All other staff encountered were brilliant!

Great week here booked via Airbnb. Location a bit out of the way and no shops within walking distance but it’s manageable. Pub/restaurant and swimming pool on site, and steep cliff path just over the road. Actually built on an old fort! The lodge was huge but the oven didn’t work which scuppered us a bit.

Stayed at the Radar Station - storm on the night we rocked up but woke up to the most amazing views and a hot tub ready for sitting in!!! Food was great, as was the Amy Winehouse tribute act playing. All the folks we talked to were brilliant, cant fault it.

This would have been fabulous but the campervan pitches are like being in a car park somewhere. Absolutely no view - the publicity is deceiving - they are wedged between two banks. Such a shame because the restaurant/bar is excellent with good home cooked food and all the staff friendly and welcoming. We were a stones throw from the sea and stunning views but couldn't see anything

It was a foggy day so unfortunately we didn’t get to see the views, although they will be stunning on a good day. The site was really clean and well maintained. Special thanks to Kirsty in reception who was brilliant and helped us as well as being super friendly! Thanks Kirsty!

Place has nice views but nothing else. Rude staff, one making us feel uncomfortable because we had a pool pass that apparently we needed to pay 24 pounds for 1 hour. This price was for a pool that’s barely bigger than the bath we had. We were locked out and they said they couldn’t help so we sat outside in the cold for 4 hours waiting for help from someone outside the resort. Definitely more accommodating place in the area with better things to offer for a fraction of the price that we paid .

We recently stayed in lodge 28 and we were very happy with our stay. The views were stunning, the park has undergone a facelift and the pool is immaculate (you must pre book and pay a fee). There’s a cafe with a small shop inside, restaurant and entertainment venue. There was an Elvis impersonator on the Saturday evening and he was one of the best I’ve ever seen. It’s a short walk to the beach but be mindful that there are lots of steps. Highly recommended for families and pet friendly too.

Fantastic long weekend. We stayed in Lodge 12. spectacular views. Listening to owls hoot at night. Fantastic food, fab staff, all work really hard to made us feel special. Pool was worth the wait. ( we originally booked 2018). Brilliant walks, we look forward to returning. Camping /caravans /etc all excellent. Elvis act was funny. Cider was cold . Food hot. Beach awesome. We hired paddle boards . Sun sets were out of this world. Good job team !

Stunning place. We came across it whilst out for a drive. We decided to go into the cafe. The staff are fabulous. Friendly and happy. As for the food!! Make sure you're hungry ;-) I had the "small" veggie breakfast. It was in my opinion a medium to large. All freshly cooked and with two large veg bacon slices. Decent cuppa too. I can highly recommend this.
